Raccoon Creek state park, on a very cold Sunday morning. This was taken from underneath the cave, I used a Canon 420ex strobe to balance the exposure.

The artificial waterfall between the upper lake and the lower lakes at Sheffield Park, Sussex, UK. The cascade is only switched on for an hour infrequently to oxygenate the upper lake as the water is pumped back up. The lower lakes have a natural feed from a river which the upper lake doesn't.

“I went to a cosy forest near Zürich and what an experience it was. The colours were simply amazing and the opportunity for photography were infinite! I shot this massive 250mpx panorama, it resulted in my favourite image of the morning, a bit different than what I usually capture but I quite like the for@at for this waterfall #Waterfall #FlowingWater #Tree #WaterFeature #Nature #Motion #ScenicsNature #Outdoors #zurich #autumcolors #panophotography #panophoto #panorama_photography #switzerland #sonya7r4”

I was originally going to call this "Trapped" because the leaf was trapped by the flow of the water. I eventually pulled it out. But now... now I think I may have lost my fountain due to the extreme cold and the power loss a few days ago. I didn't even think about it because as long as the water is running it doesn't freeze up. The ice / snow will close over the top but you can still hear the water running strong underneath. But the power was off for about 6 hours last week and it was so cold (in the single digits) that it froze solid. Now I am thinking the pump will be ruined. Still.... if that is all I loose during this extreme weather I guess I am doing fine! Temperature has risen to 13' F so guess it's time to go feed the chickens! :) Perhaps I will get a photo of what this looks like now... that could be interesting!

One of the main attractions of Gardens by the Bay ecological park are the two giant climate controlled conservatories, known as the Cloud Forest with its 35 meter waterfall, as well as the Flower Dome. Within these huge green houses one can find facinating plant species from all over the world, from venus fly traps to an almost unlimited variety of orchids. This beautiful park reaffirms Singapore's reputation as the Garden City.

In my small wild garden - a welcome visitor at the waterfeature

These misting vanes deliver different qualities of mist or micro-mist through the air above the plaza at San Jose City Hall to cool the plaza on warm days. The vanes move subtly in the air and form a delicate three-dimensional transparent screen, contributing to the plaza another layer of texture and a transitional scale between the pedestrian and monumentality of the building. On sunny days, the water vapor produced by the array of vanes will catch and refract prismatic light.

Love this climbing track, right in town, but very pretty through the bush.

This little girl must have stood for 10mins in here.

Also known as the Coles Fountain. "Parliament Reserve, corner Spring and Albert Streets. Sited in Parliament Gardens, his Coles Fountain is a striking counterpoint to its historical garden setting. Its stainless-steel tubing forms a geometrical frame some three metres high, from which water cascades into a shallow pool below. To ‘enter’ the C-shaped fountain is to be virtually encircled by a curtain of water. It is set on finished bluestone paving, which reflects the geometry of the fountain."

Captured in the south western Adirondacks with my DJI Mavic 2 Pro drone over Dunning Creek.

I've discovered using the Mavic 2 Pro as a true flying camera just recently.

I had wrongly assumed that a drone was for flying high and thats it...

My Mavic was probably 3ft above the waters surface and I (accidentally) stopped the shot down using a PolarPro ND filter.

The daily bird shows are picking up once again. I just love it when the little migratory birds start visiting. This is the same little warbler that was on the edge of the bog a couple of days ago. He looks so different when he is in the water than when he is about to get in. How do I know it's the same one? That's simple, because I took the images back to back as I was watching him :)

Have a wonderful weekend and happy snapping.

Big splash from a breaking wave behind the ocean pools with the rising sun still below the horizon but throwing its reflected light at the Trade Winds building in the background.

This waterfall in Birmingham has featured in my photos before, as has the Selfridges building (once or twice ;-) ) but never from this angle. HBWE!
