Few things are more serene than a water feature.

Uphill from the future waterfall I've laid a coupe of boards (with some bags of sand between them) to mark the approximate location of the footbridge that will complete the major elements of the landscaping.

Um, I kinda can't live without this... sure, every queen has a water feature, but how many have a fogger built in??? Exactly. Therefore, I want one!

July 11, 2023 - Exploring the Jardins do Palacio Nacional de Sintra (Gardens of the National Palace of Sintra)

"The Gardens of the National Palace of Sintra extend across terraces to the west of the Palace.

On the first level comes the Preta Garden, which constitutes a natural viewpoint looking out over the Sintra Hills and the historical centre. Recently restored, its name stems from the painted composition of a black laundry women accompanied by a male figure in a red livery. At the centre of this garden stands a large scale Manueline twisted column that, through to the early 20th century, had stood in the square in front of the entrance to the Palace Courtyard, then a closed space.

The Araucaria Garden, the Kitchen Garden, the Tanquinhos Patio and the Princes’ Garden are the remaining areas making up these gardens and always framed by magnificent views" Previous description: www.parquesdesintra.pt/en/parks-monuments/national-palace...

I've built and back filled the retaining wall on the down hill side of the small fish pond. I'm still keeping the 50 gallon pond basin covered to keep it dirt free for the time being.
