Some new views of a landscape we installed over a couple of years. The plants are growing and softening the look. What an idyllic setting.
This is a brand new water feature in front of the Rohnert Park Public Safety Department. They are silent right now, because of the fact that the water tank that holds the water is not safe. Health department shut it down for now.
We built a set of three or four steps up from the parquet deck to the level of the swing and next to the 50 gallon fish pond that we set into the side of the hill. The pond has been covered in black plastic to keep it clean and free of dirt and sand as I work on the stream and waterfall. The next step is for me to build the retaining wall around the downhill side of the pond. I've temporarily placed a few blocks in the approximate location just to see how it might look.
This view shows the spacial relation of the swing and swimming pool with the waterfeature I'm building. Mary's little stone wall is visible on the right.
The Senses: Sound
This is a picture of Vancouver fountain. The intent was to explore the technique of fast shutter speeds in order to capture movement. The photo is intended to evoke the sense of sound as the viewer could imagine the sound of the falling water.
