Yeah, the old balancing on a stepladder over a box of cherry tomatoes routine.
Note to self: must get out more.

I wouldn't have taken this photo if it hadn't been for the neon lights someone had turned on there. It was quiet (except for the radio tuned to COAST 103), and only a few other people were there. I got everything done, trouble-free. I read my book while the washer was on, and otherwise had a somewhat pleasant afternoon. The doors were open, because there was no air conditioning, but it was okay anyway.
I'm not sure why the person who flipped the neon lights on only got the WASH part and not the JUMBO part. Oh, well, it still looked interesting anyway.
The house was nothing special, but the old washing machine with the ringer reminded me of my childhood and my grandmother's back porch were she did the laundry. i was always fascinated with the ringer and wanted to pull things through it.
I got this closer view, also before loading two of the dryers. Good thing I did, as one of the employees turned off these lights by the time my drying was done. Perhaps she didn't like me shooting them, or the manager told her to keep them off and save electricity (as if that would make a difference in a place like this).
In any case, I finally got a decent shot of these neon lighted figures while the lights were on.
And, I shot this with the ultra-wide lens setting, but I moved closer, just to see how it would look.

Sto meglio dietro all'obiettivo che davanti, ma su qualcuno bisognava pur provarlo l'8mm.

Lockdown and the lack of photographic opportunities might be starting to get to me, so I spent an evening sitting on the Utility Room floor with my camera on a tripod practically inside the washing machine. Because, well, photography. Lit with a small LED panel, space age or what?!
