The Sunday club this week paid a visit to Burry Port, where we had a very enjoyable walk around the Harbour. For a change we had sun and blue skies. I may look tense as this was taken with a 200 mm lens and I had to run 100 yards within the 10 second timer to join the lads.Well it felt like 100 yards.

This the first part of a new series of photos I call "Walk in the park". The images are candid photos of people of all walks of life. Most will be taken in and around downtown San Diego and parks like Balboa.
Walk in the Green Valley.
The Green Valley is an oasis of peace in the triangle between Brussels, Leuven and Mechelen.
Today is the first day of summer......2011. It's a typical day for me. While eating breakfast, I watched The Travel Channel and then took a walk in my yard in South Georgia, USA noticing all the greenery and sunlight. Then I drove into Valdosta for line dance class at the Senior Citizen Center. While looking around, I found a group playing Chickenfoot with dominoes; so, I joined them and drank my Slimfast for lunch. Next I drove out to Stone Creek community and joined a water aerobics class in the swimming pool there. Finally I drove home and ate a Wendy's Apple-Pecan Chicken Salad that my husband had brought for me. We watched the first episode of "Wives and Daughters" on a Netflix DVD. He chopped some onion and yellow squash which I stewed for future meals. As I watched "America's Got Talent," I played "Words with Friends" with a friend in Florida, read a chapter of Cranford on my Kindle app, and read a chapter of the Bible all on my iPhone4. To end the evening I downloaded the videos and photos that I'd taken during the day and uploaded to Flickr.

Third Thursday Wine Walk in Downtown Baker City Oregon
Enjoying beautiful evening for Third Thursday in historic Baker City, Oregon. The monthly Third Thursday Wine Walk is one of numerous events hosted by the Baker City Downtown businesses giving customers an opportunity to visit and explore downtown after hours.
Visitors to downtown will find numerous art galleries throughout Baker City’s historic downtown including the Crossroads Carnegie Art center in the restored Carnegie Library building as well as multiple restaurants and a variety of gourmet and artisan food and spirits.

Αυτή είναι η πρώτη μου μισο-σοβαρή προσπάθεια για βίντεο. Η καινούργια μου Canon 500D διαθέται και ικανότητα βίντεο, οπότε προσπαθώ να μάθω σιγά σιγά.
Η ευκαιρία που έψαχνα να τραβήξω ήταν ένα weekend assignment του iReport το οποίο καλούσε κόσμο απ'όλο τον πλανήτη να δείξει ένα μέρος απο την πόλη του μέσα απο μια βόλτα του. Το βίντεο έπρεπε να είναι ενός λεπτού, χωρίς μοντάζ (συνεχόμενο δλδ) και να αρχίζει και να τελειώνει με ένα πλάνο στα πόδια. Εγώ πήγα στο πάρκο Αλκαζάρ, στην Λάρισα, ένα απο τα πιο φανταστικά μέρη στην πόλη, με πολύ πράσινο και σχετική ησυχία!
Το βίντεο είναι μέτριας ποιότητας αλλά εξαιρετικά χρήσιμο! Έχει τόσα λάθη, τόσα στραβά, που ξέρω οτι το επόμενο θα είναι καλύτερο. Ξέρω τι να κοιτάξω και τι να διορθώσω!
This is my first, semi-serious attempt for a video. My new Canon 500D has a video feature and I try to learn how to use it, one step at a time.
The oppurtunity was given by the iReport website and their weekend assignment called "Walk in our shoes". They were calling people from all over the world to show a piece of their town, while taking a walk. The video had to be less than a minute, to be continuous (no montage) and to star and finish with a shot at my feet. I chose to go at the Alkazar park in my hometown, Larissa, one of the greatest places in my city, with lots of green and realitvely quiet!
The video is pretty mediocre but really useful! It has so many mistakes, so many wrong things I know the next one will be much better. I now know what to watch out for and what to correct...
...dusted off my rarely used 4x5-camera and exposed some sheets of expired Agfa APX 100...
I've expected to get more scratches and a lot of fog on the negatives but also better pictorial results.
I had a lot of trouble to set up the camera for the images I had in mind and finally gave up and shot some mediocre (at best) scenes.
The good news is that the Agfa is still useable and my film-loading and developing workflow isn't faulty as expected :-)
The bad news is that I should bury ambitious plans for now and start shooting really simple scenes...
