Don't walk in front of me; I may not follow. Don't walk behind me; I may not lead. Just walk beside me and be my friend. ~ Albert Camus

Another dead Sally Wattle, held up by the tiny snag on a trunk. I go under it quickly, or walk around it. The rough, dark brown bark belongs to a Hoop Pine, one of many we planted in the early days. . . . . . . . photo MR

Walk in the Green Valley.

The Green Valley is an oasis of peace in the triangle between Brussels, Leuven and Mechelen.

There is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing 😊

Even in the rain, a walk is calming and relaxing.

I was just a little worried about the camera getting wet when I took photos.

well, i am a mimi for the second time! "my" youngest gave birth to a healthy baby boy yesterday! both are doing well and we couldn't all be happier- except noah. brook says he's a little jealous, but i'm sure that will pass and they'll soon be two sneaky little boys getting into trouble and making fun messes together!

it's hard to believe that "my" jader is now a mommy. i remember when she was a little girl and she just HAD to sleep with me every night and the child kicked like a MULE! but, of course, i obliged and eventually i realized that if i rolled a blanket up and placed it between us, i would get to sleep a little better! or when we had to insist her bath time would be night time because she would fall asleep in the tub! or when AS SOON AS warm weather hit, and i'm talking high 50's, low 60's, she would want to wear flip flops and shorts to school because it was "hot"... that's when our 72 degree rule came into effect... 72 degrees for at least 5 dys straight and THEN we'll talk about it, and when their (brook and jade's) dad and i split up and hey moved across town, i left things taped to the walls of their bedroom, shoes lying near the door, dry erase marker messages on the mirrors and even a handprint on the storm door glass for as long as i can remember just to keep them near ... brook, jade and cierra have been a HUGE part of my life and i am first of all, thankful to GOD for the opportunity to spend time with such great girls, tto watch them grow into young women and begin to carry themselves into lives of their own. i am also thankful that even though the relationship dissolved between their father and i, that the girls and i have maintained a bond, that i will be included in the lives of THEIR children. i am thankful that both girls delivered safely and that both babies were healthy and i am thankful that i have a wonderful husband who realizes that i am part of something BIG and that he understands the relationship between all 3 of these girls and myself and accepts it, accepts them...

for this little guy, i pray.

i pray for his health

i pray for his happiness

i pray that he feels loved EVERY day of his life

i pray he knows peace

i pray he walks in Faith

for kaleb, i pray

Closeup number two of a little woodland scene made from objects I've found on my walks through the woods. Included are a thistle seed pod, some type of fungus, galls on a twig, an interesting little stone, and artificial berries and leaves.

Indian Spring Trail - Munroe Falls

Went for a walk in the middle of the woods yesterday when I heard a buzzing noise. Looked up and saw this hovering above us. It watched us for about thirty seconds before flying off. Rise of the machines. A very Skynet day.

I'd love to see the video
