Went for a photo walk in the morning today as storm clouds were meant to and did roll in late in the afternoon. A good way to start the photography for the day was capturing pictures of one of the Sacred Kingfishers at Tenterfield Park doing a bit of preening and grooming.

These are small flower drawings I created whilst on a walk in the woods. I was instantly captured by their fine detail in the petals.

When we walked in to this tiny farmhouse i had a very strange feeling. Like te former owners could come home any second.
Maybe it was because it reminded me of my grandmothers place.

This was taken during my recent holiday to the Lake District. I think the rolling green hills and the mountain in the background sums up the beauty of the area!?

Ja, ich bin schon so alt, dass mir dieser Titel aus meiner Jugend wieder einfiel, als ich die Fotos sortiert habe.
Das war ein schöner sonniger Novembernachmittag. Ich war zum einen im Park von Schloß Matzen und bei einer schönen Allee bei Jenbach. Nach mehreren Tagen "Eisenbahn jagen" und Ausflügen war auch mal ein gemütlicher Tag zum Ausspannen drin.

Yes, I'm this old already that I remembered this title from my youth when I was sorting through the photos.
It was a beautiful sunny November afternoon. I was in the park at Matzen Castle and on a beautiful avenue near Jenbach. After several days of ‘railway chasing’ and excursions, I also needed a cosy day to relax.
Met some strange people in the park today.

For over a year, I have set as a goal walking at least 10,000 steps a day. Recently, I bought my first smart phone, and as I walk around Vancouver now I take images and videos of what I see. This 1:30 video is a video compilation of Sunset Beach, 2 blocks from where I live and which I visit daily. All videos were taken on a handheld Samsung Galaxy s6 during early summer of 2015. Most clips are 6 seconds in length with ambient sound.
One of my favorite wildflowers is the Western Trillium likely found near creeks and streams in shady ravines. In a two hour walk in this ravine it was the only one of two I saw. Sadly people dig them up and try to plant them in their gardens where they rarely survive. Leave them alone and enjoy them for their very brief flowering period.
