Sorry for leaving you with a fried egg for the last couple of days, but I have been very busy...

Thank you to David for pointing out that I had another picture on TV via the BBC Britain in Pictures group! :))

I'll try and catch up with everyone soon, but can't promise anything. Sorry.

See it here large on black!

The photos being posted today were totally unexpected, so my apologies ahead of time.

At the last minute, I thought I'd try to get a shot of a hummer at one of our Rose of Sharon trees. Mission accomplished!

BUT --- suddenly I spotted a CHIPMUNK foraging in the backyard! We haven't seen one since last October! After racing to tell my sister, we grabbed our cameras and parked ourselves at different windows. It scurried from its hidey hole to the yard to forage several times.

And of course I had to grab a few additional shots in the meantime. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Happy Summer Solstice, the First Day of Summer, Hump Day or whatever you want to call today! 😊

The Portland Cement Silos built in 1908 welcome visitors to the small town of Concrete, WA, population 705. Notice the tiny figures of my friends Karen and Wilbur at the base of the silos.

The area was called Minnehaha before the town was established. Limestone and clay deposits were found and the Portland Cement Company began it's operations. In honor of the town's main industry, the town was named Concrete in 1909.

By the sea I feel at home, ensconced between the water and the sand. This is where I drown in the spirits, welcome their embrace, drift off with them as wind in my sail. By the sea, I dream of places left lost to the horizon line, obscured by the curve of the Earth. Perhaps when it turns, we'll all spill over the edge. And yet, we are always left staring at this perfect meeting where the ocean kisses the sky. By the sea I understand that the things that seem endless are only hiding the others left to come.

Just a few notes:

Please be sure to include in your title and/or tags:

Blythe A Day - September 2014

(some like to abbreviate ... totally up to each individual ;)

Also, please include the name of the THEME for that day in your title and/or tags.

~

~

It is ...

OKAY to post a photo every day ...

OKAY to skip a day here and there if you get busy ...

OKAY to post several photos in one day if you fall behind and need to "catch-up" ...

As mentioned, this is not any sort of competition, there are no rules or prizes ... and no one is keeping score or watching what is entered ... except to ENJOY your PHOTOS! :)

IF anyone has any questions beyond this, please let me know, and I will be happy to answer and help out!

We are all just SO GLAD to have each and every one of you HERE!

In Finnish Lapland, killing or wounding a reindeer is considered as a crime punishable by several thousands of euros or, in fines , prison.

Above 0 ° C reindeer are unpredictable because they are too hot, but there we were - 10 ° C, so they were really sweet.

The bed and breakfast where we stayed last week featured many interesting antiques -- including this shoe scraper on the front porch. Since the innkeeper owns a basset hound, I considered it a symbol of hospitality!

@ Jakarta car-free day - April 2009

Car-free day is meant to reduce pollution & create atmosphere along Sudirman to Thamrin Boulevard, Jakarta. At this time, the road was filled with people participating events (futsal matches, fun games, music performances, marching band), while some others are just enjoying taking a stroll and cycling, even two world-touring cyclists enjoy car-free day today.

But since there was an accident when a Mayasari Bakti bus hit a boy while he was crossing the road to chase his ball, the event would now run from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m rather than from 6. a.m. to 2 p.m.

So if you have an opportunity to visit Jakarta, pretty please, free your time on the 4th Sunday of the month, and i'll take you downtown to enjoy Jakarta car-free day. :)

After 5 years, it's time to say goodbye to Canon. My beloved 100D is replaced by this sexy thing , the OM-D E-M5 Mark III with the M.Zuiko 12-100mm f/4 IS Pro.

So this is the last picture taken by the 100D, along with the magnificent EF 50 f/1.8 STM. I cannot think of a better farewell than welcoming this beast, that will be my gear from now on!

A little decorative pillow I made today to welcome friends and get me in the mood for spring.

Fall is (finally) here :) have a lovely weekend everyone <3

Romi Gonen, from my village Kfar Vradim, was one of the many Israelis and foreigners in Israel who was kidnapped on 7/10/2023 by the Hamas terrorist group and taken to Gaza in captivity. On Sunday 19/01/2025, she was released along with Emily and Doron as part of the first phase of the agreement between the democratic nation of Israel and the Hamas terrorist group to release the kidnapped and a ceasefire that will allow Gazans displaced from their homes in the context of the war started by Hamas and Islamic Jihad on 07/10/2023. This is how her people welcome Romi. Translation of the sign: Romi beloved, how good that you have returned home. And as a signature it says: Kfar Vradim home.

70010 passes Bathampton with 4O57, 1329 Wentloog-Southampton intermodal service on 17 October, 2023. This working ceased for over a year, during which time Freightliner Class 70s seemingly vanished from the Bath route. They do not attract universal admiration but the big GEs certainly add welcome variety.

Mission accomplished! Over four days and three nights I saw the sights along the eleven county, four hundred mile, route that US 6 takes across Pennsylvania. Except for a couple of miles in Scranton I drove all of Rt. 6 (plus plenty of side trips).

It was a fun drive but I recommend taking an extra day or two to take things in at a more leisurely pace. For example, I drove by the famous PennDOT road sign sculpture garden as I was leaving Meadville but didn't have the time to stop and take it all in.

Welcome to Nostalgia. The auditions are officially OPEN. As an intention of trying to revive the old BNTM competitions, which in my opinion, was probably one of the most iconic seasons in this community EVER, I decided to bring some of that fun and joy back into the light. Some of you had or may not had the chance to be a part of it, but now you can. The competition will be held on YouTube, but all the challenges, additional information and news will be all announced here, on thisInstagram account. This time I decide to partner with my good friends @ and @. They will be a part of the judging squad this season and honestly I couldn’t be more exited to have them by my side for this ride. For this first cycle, we have no idea how many girls we are going to aloud to be a part of the cast, it all depends on the number of auditions we get, so definitely try it out. We’re looking above all things for DIVERSITY. And please keep in mind we’re looking for high fashion models and not Instagram baddies, so be sure to fill the part, or at least be open to learn and grow through our perspective.

⛔️ RULES:

The rules are plain and simple, I will not aloud any type of bullying towards me, any of the judges or contestants. My main goal with this competition is to get along with everyone and create a safe and chill environment for everyone who wants to be a part of it. With that being said, everyone is welcome to join, as long as you fit the requirements and respect the rules and most of all, the judges decisions. We know how much it sucks when you spend hours working on a photo for a competition and all the effort you’ve put into it, but sometimes that may not be enough comparing your photo with another constant’s photo and when it comes to making a decision you may not be favored for that. So try not to be so personal about it and aloud yourself to grow and improve. There’s always room to improve and your effort and patience will be rewarded. And honestly you’ll be surprise with how much you can really grow and learn if you aloud yourself to learn and hear the judges critiques and advices.

📷 REQUIREMENTS FOR YOUR AUDITION:

Only Bratz dolls will be accepted on this competition. You should have your model wearing a white top and jeans in black heels in a white background. The background doesn’t need to be crystal white or in png, we’re looking for a natural vibe and for that natural lighting would be best in this case. Minimal/neutral make-up please. You’ll need to include her first and last name, age, and hometown. You can also wright a small paragraph about her, but that’s only optional.

If you need any help picking up your model, or have any further questions about the competition you can always DM me or any of the judges as ask for help. We’re here for you.

🏆 PRIZES:

The first place will get a free Bratz collector doll from the line that will be unveiled this year and a photo book with all your work in this competition, almost like a fashion book.

❌ DEADLINE:

The deadline for your audition is May, 1st.

All you need when you’re done is to send your audition to our email which is: bntm.nostalgia@gmail.com

You can also upload it, if you want too :)

HAVE FUN AND GOOD LUCK 🍀

xoxo, Team Nostalgia x
