This is from last year but for 2 months each year the commercial flower beds in Carsbad north of San Diego offers strollers eye popping views of Ranuculus flower fields, grown for their seed. Hope this helps with anyones down with winter blues. While not the sharpest photo I like its impressionistic feel.

'Warm' is an understatement, the weather was scorching hot :)
And there is always a strange feeling looking at a nice young girl and not knowing if it's, in fact, a boy...
Otherwise the welcome - and the hospitality throughout - was exceptional.
A colourful duo seen at Liverpool Lime Street Station. TransPennine Express Class 185 No. 103 and a London & Northwestern Class 350 No. 265.
This dove went exploring near our kitchen window, and I managed one capture before he spooked. Further, being a bird in Jerusalem may be a pretty good deal...
Our weather is mild most of the year, and scraps of food are plentiful. Also, a few kind souls set out bits of bread and seeds for the birds.
Happy Sliders Sunday!
Although class 60s still appeared in Workington into 2008 the class 66 became the usual traction from the summer of 2007. On 29 June 2012 there was a rare visit of a class 60 to Workington with 60049 turning up on 6C68. By this time the containers and tanks no longer shared the same train, the boxes were running only twice a week and the tanks ran as a separate working on Fridays only. On this particular Friday the four tanks it brought from Carlisle were added to eight already in the yard which were there following disruption of the network caused by heavy rain. Fellow Flickrite Richie B was also on hand to record this welcome tug return.
The tanks carried on 6C48 – in the main – contain china clay slurry (or kaolin) but some also carry a form of calcium carbonate known as precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC) a grade specifically used in paper making. Both products are used by Iggesund in the production of high quality card, the mill creating over two thousand tonnes of multilayered folding box board known as Incada.
Took this photo close to the corner of Orange Grove and Del Mar. Really had to watch out for the cars on this one! :)
What a great welcome home sight greeting us after a week of vacation in Colorado as we headed home after disembarking from the last Delta flight of the evening (4538 CR900). Saltie Lubie at CHS, Michipicoten at CN Dock 6, American Century at MERC, Great Republic and Joe Block at Hallett Dock 5. Welcome home! August 28, 2018.
Welcome in the forest! It's a lovely sunny day so perfect for a walk outside, and I love nature so I decided to go to the forest. Look around, plenty of trees and plenty of green. it's beautiful here.
If April showers bring May flowers, the record breaking 20 inches of rain we received overnight in this area probably washed most of the flowers away...unbelievable flooding in lower parts of town and water as high as five feet in some homes...thankfully, my street was okay, but the white-knuckled drive through flooded streets to work was a bit too adventurous for me this morning! Wishing you a wonderful May, full of late Spring joys and happy days in the sun! Explore #178 April 30, 2014
The sun on my back, the first day of spring...hmmm, does life get any sweeter? But which of those two male sparrows do I want.
