Welcome signs are posted throughout the Island, especially in and around the initial landing area in the Welcome Center.
Homecoming central, the Welcome Centre was a great spot to enjoy refreshments, lively music, face painting, childrenās activities, and a commemorative photo opportunity.
At the entrance to Jellystone Park, is this sign. Yogi Bear welcomes you to come for the day and play in the water park or come for the week, camp and see the sites in the area.

Specialist Paul Kirkus returned home to Edgerton, KS from Afghanistan today. He arrived in a stretch limo provided by private donors and escorted by bikers from American Legion Riders Post #19 of Gardner, KS.

The council have been erecting welcome signs to the various villages/towns in the Strabane area.
This one for Bready reflects the importance agriculture means to the area showing a horse drawn plough.
If you attended the Focus412 event last Saturday, chances are you were met at the door by this lovely lady!

I remember this Welcome to Victoria sign when I first moved to Victoria as a kid back in 1976. This view never disappoints.
I decided to take my 105mm out for today's photo walk; I don't know what I was thinking. None of the shots I was scoping out could be framed with that long a lens. I've gotten used to seeing with my 50mm these days.
I got way back and caught this shot of Victoria's Inner Harbour marina with the BC Legislature Buildings in the background (these are not the Parliament Buildings, those are in Ottawa). I couldn't get quite wide enough to catch the statue on top of the Leg.
Tripod mounted Nikon D600, Nikkor 105mm f/2.8 VR lens at f/7.1 for 1/160 second, ISO 400.
