This brick weathered by time and tide is on East Beach, Shoeburyness, Essex.

The site was formerly Shorefields brick fields that produced bricks from the 1850's until the 1920's. Originally owned by the Shoeburyness Brick Works until taken over by the Kent based Eastwoods Ltd who continued using the Shorefields site and transporting the bricks to London by Thames Sailing Barges loaded directly from jetties on the beach below the brick producing works.

White-throated Kingfisher bird perched on a tree in Harike Wildlife Sanctuary, Punjab.

The bird was sitting on a tree branch overhanging the lake. However, that wasn't to catch a fish. This species of kingfisher doesn't actually catch or feed on fishes. It's tree kingfisher.

Candles lit at Sarabha Nagar Market, Ludhiana during "Citizen for Farmers Ride" in Novermber 2020.

The following words of one of the artists at the event aptly represented the intent behind lighting candles. "When someone lights a fire, it can either be to burn and destroy, or to spread light - knowledge and righteousness. We believe in the latter, lighting these candles to promote the tenets of our constitution that represent the will of our people over generations since India's independence".

This memorial is from the time of The Troubles. The attack on the Bayardo Bar in the Shankill area happened on 13th August 1975. Similar attacks took place on both sides of the conflict.

The memorial is on the actual site of the Bayardo Bar.

A special treat to be able to walk freely around 7 of the Douglas Dakota / C47/ C53 Skytrooper aircraft that were part of the Daks Over Normandy 75th anniversary event on 5th/6/h June 2019.

They were at Old Warden Airfield for the Shuttleworth Collection's Flying Festival 2019 on 2nd June 2019. I was lucky enough to be able to watch the D-Day Squadron overfly London Southend Airport on route to Normandy.

Located outside of Upminster Station, London Borough of Havering.

London County Council Tramways existed from 1899 until 1933. The first incarnation of trams in London was between 1860 and 1952.

Perhaps the most famous theatre in the United Kingdom. The striking frontage actually predates the Palladium Theatre which opened in 1910. This view in Argyll Street shows what was originally the facade to the Corinthian Bazaar from the mid Victorian era. A sort of prequel to the present day shopping centres.

At 6 Moulsham Street, Chelmsford, Essex is this Grade II listed building that has retained its original exterior features.

The Regent Theatre opened in 1913 as a combined theatre and cinema, however by 1916 it was mainly a cinema only. Updated during the 1930's it remained open until 6th September 1975. Like many other similar buildings it became a bingo hall for some time after that. Now a late night bar and club. Looking at the club's website it would appear that they have done a good job in retaining many of the original interior features as well.

About 2 miles to the East of Whitstable overlooking the Thames Estuary.

206 Moulsham Street, City of Chelmsford, Essex. In the older historic quarter of Moulsham.

It must have looked like a real symbol of dominant power back then when officially opened on 16th November 1932. Home of the Northern Ireland Assembly.

The ground station of this chairlift that climbs to a height of 1443 feet. The only chairlift in Luxembourg. The carrier in view is to transport bicycles.

This is part of the revamping of the old British Homes Stores building in Southend-On-Sea, Essex which will become a Primark store.

The strange (but award winning) building on the right is Southend Bus Station.

The very impressive heritage restoration of the disused Folkestone Harbour Station along with the Folkestone Harbour Arm and old railway bridge across the harbour.

The station is largely from the 1890's (replacing an earlier station) and the signal box dates from 1915.

It has just been featured on Michaell Portillo's Great British Railways programme.

Money from the Regional Growth Fund has helped with this project.

This very charming city car is part of the Shuttleworth Collection. Displayed here at the Flying Festival 2019 at Old Warden Airfield.

The Fiat Topolino was produced from the mid 1930's until the mid 1950's, with upgrades along the way.

A rare cast iron fountain with lamp posts. It dates from 1888 and was originally located in the town centre to mark Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee of 1887. It was moved to Lurgan Park in the 1920's to make way for a war memorial which still stands on the original footprint.
