This building is 1 Market Square, Aylesbury. Surprisingly there are several banks facing on to Market Square. The architecture and age make this one stand out however.

The Bucks and Oxen Union Bank ran from 1835 until 1904, having been taken over by Lloyds in 1902.

EF1230 of EmileFrisch passing over the single direction carriageway of the Adolphe Bridge in Luxembourg City.

EmileFrisch is a business with history going back to 1927.

Newly laid tramlines are visilbe in this photo. They are part of the tramway extensions for City Tram Route 1 due to open sometime in 2020.

The Adolphe Bridge was opened in 1903 and now has a lower deck crossing for bicycles and pedestrians only opened within the last couple of years.

On the seafront at Southend-On-Sea, Essex.

14435213 Private R. Lawler of the Black Watch (Royal Highlanders) in the CWGC Valkenswaard War Cemetery.

A very moving experience on Sunday 5th May 2019, Liberation Day commemoration for the Netherlands. We found ourselves talking to the neice and nephew of Private Richard Lawler who had made the trip from Leeds to visit his grave for the Dutch Remembrance Day commemoration on Saturday 4th May 2019. Thy told us of the poignant ceremony the evening before with the 2 minute silence at 8.00 p.m. ( we observed the 2 minute silence standing in respect at our hotel in Arnhem). They went on to tell us that when they asked the owner of the small hotel they were staying in if he could call a taxi to go to the cemetery the owner insisted on driving them there himself. Each of the 216 war graves in Valkenswaard War Cemetery has been adopted by a local person who has pledged to look after the grave. In the case of Private Richard Lawler a young girl has taken on that role. The neice and nephew told us about how a small denomination coin was placed on top of each gravestone the evening before, an American tradition. In front of each headstone a lily had been carefully placed, which can be seen in this photograph.

Valkenswaard is near Eindhoven not far from the Belgian border.

KX66 EWE, Scania P280 / Angloco rescue pump of Essex Fire and Rescue Service is the main subject in view.

This is the A13 London Road, Leigh-On-Sea, Essex looking east in the general direction of Southend-On-Sea.

One of the iconic landmark buildings in the City of Chelmsford.

The Grade II listed building dates back to 1791 with some Victorian additions and a bit of an Art Deco makeover during the mid 1930's. Some speculation over its future, having been out of use for a few years now after the Magistrates Court moved out to new purpose built premises close by.

After so much time finally i got again the good feeling in taking pics, thanks to a great and nice model

This is in what was a secondary shopping road in Westcliff-On-Sea. Most of the old shops and businesses are now private residences, like this one.

Appears to read Kelly, Prout and Summers. The only reference that I have found to the name is in a 1953 edition of Kelly's Directory, although the sign looks older.

Plain Prinia perched in a paddy field near Ludhiana, Punjab.

This bird is a resident throughout most of the Indian sub-continent and southeast Asia.

The jewel in the crown of the many excellent parks within the Borough of Southend-On-Sea, Essex. Opened on 14th July 1920 after being saved from becoming a housing development by R.A. Jones purchasing the land and presenting it to the town as a gift.

Displayed in Oaklands Park at the rear of Chelmsford Museum, Essex.

An ex-Southend Pier Railway trailer car. In 1949 it was relocated to the Volks Electric Railway in Brighton and fitted with an electric motor from a milk float to make it a self powered single unit.

A pigeon taking a wary look at a redundant party decoration that I planted in the garden. The decoration is still there, hasn't grown though!

On the far side of the fountain many of the anti-austerity protesters followed the French protesters precedent in wearing yellow vest. Probably a good ploy as the police were also wearing hi-vis yellow jackets which from a distance made the rally look a lot bigger than it really was. The chant that I heard the most was "general election now".

My wife told me to stay away from Trafalgar Square that day, but I didn't get too close to where the main action was.
