I've wanted to put these up but since today's Paul Bettany's 44th birthday, I found it appropriate. Happy birthday, Paul!

Day fifteen of lock-down in the UK
Our daily walk today took us past the church Quiet Garden. Though the churches are currently closed this peaceful garden is still open and available for quiet contemplation and prayer. Their display of Spring flowers is always lovely and this double daffodil caught my eye.
Stay safe and well everyone.
Thank you to everyone who pauses long enough to look at my photo. Any comments or Faves are very much appreciated.

Il est encore tôt ce matin
Dans un froid hivernal
J’ai repris mon chemin
Celui d’une balade matinal
J’ai beau ouvrir les yeux
J’ai comme la vision troublée
Pourtant je connais les lieux
Mais ceux-ci sont embrumés
Toi le soleil, tu te caches encore
Alors que nous sommes à l’aube
Viens vite réchauffer mon corps,
Je te vois derrière ses fantômes.
Cet épais brouillard me voile

At about 89,000 miles in diameter, Jupiter could swallow 1,000 Earths. It is the largest planet in the solar system and perhaps the most majestic. Vibrant bands of clouds carried by winds that can exceed 400 mph continuously circle the planet's atmosphere. Such winds sustain spinning anticyclones like the Great Red Spot—a raging storm three and a half times the size of Earth located in Jupiter’s southern hemisphere. In January and February 1979, NASA's Voyager 1 spacecraft zoomed toward Jupiter, capturing hundreds of images during its approach. The observations revealed many unique features of the planet that are still being explored to this day. Watch the video (1.usa.gov/1l0JZ9h) to see a time-lapse of Jupiter assembled from images taken by the spacecraft.

I don't have a good Thanksgiving themed picture for today, best I can do is a scene from Cape Cod. Taking Provincetown and Plymouth and splitting the difference, we arrive at Hyannis MA on the bright morning of 11 October 2009 to observe the Cape Cod Central passenger fleet ready for some autumn excursion runs. Power includes GP7 No. 1502, GP7 No. 1501, and RS3m No. 1201. Happy Thanksgiving!
We set up shop at the Old Marina site on the west side of Mono Lake, waiting for the moon to rise. The sky faded to pink, then blue, and then the show began. The moon peeked above the mountains and rose quickly into the colorful sky.
i want to stand as close to the edge as I can without going over. out on the edge you see all the kinds of things you can't see from the center.
