Es un contraluz y todavía requiere más trabajo, aunque pienso repetirla a una hora más apropiada en el futuro, pero quería compartir esta mravillosa vista del valle de Yosemite. A la izquierda se puede observar El Capitán, a la derecha, Velo de Novia, y al fondo Half Dome. El valle fue tallado por un gigantesco glaciar.

Bank of England, Manchester Branch (centre image, ground level)
The cotton industry was a major source of business for local banks and merchants around the start of the 19th century. Manchester’s importance as a commercial centre was recognised when the Bank of England established a branch in the town in 1826. Some 20 years later it moved into a suitably imposing new building, designed by one of the country’s leading architects, Charles Cockerell. The location was Upper King Street, almost directly opposite the old town hall. Manchester’s importance as a financial centre was further consolidated in 1836 when the Manchester Stock Exchange was opened in Exchange Street, in part to deal in the shares of the local joint-stock banking companies.
Cockerell’s Bank of England branch building (shown above) survives in King Street but it is no longer home to the bank, the latter having moved into new premises located at the junction of Portland Street and Charlotte Street in 1971.

This is Gabe. You might observe that his left eye looks a bit odd... It is. That's his good eye. The one hidden from view is... let's just say it's seriously damaged. He's been nearly blind from birth, but don't tell him, he doesn't know, and he functions remarkably well, even with his limited vision. This was taken the day a new kitten arrived in the house, and he's scoping out the new guy from a safe distance. Within six hours, they were asleep on the same couch. They're best buddies now.

In the streets of Montreal.
There are two sea stacks that together form Drangarnir. These impressive natural formations have become a symbol of the Faroe Islands’ unspoiled landscapes and untamed wilderness. To me, they conjure visions of a dragon's back, rising up from the icy waters swirling along its base. It is a haven for birdlife and a bucket list item for photographer's fortunate enough to find themselves in this Viking wonderland.
For me, it was an experience of a lifetime and the fulfillment of a bucket list dream that all began with a tiny image I saw on Instagram of a grass roofed cottage. What an incredible privilege to photograph the immense Drangarnir sea stacks (the smaller one rises out of the ocean to a height of over 200 '), probably one of the most iconic formations of the Faroe Islands.
Unfortunately, it is also one of the more harrowing places to get to. If I wasn’t grey already, that day would have done it in spades. Thank God for great travel partners, and our gifted leader, Thomas Vikre, who guided us through the gauntlet of eel-slippery rocks, steep slopes ending abruptly into the North Atlantic, and high tides bouncing our Zodiac around like a ping pong ball. Honestly, I would have turned back each time if given a choice. I have no desire to “prove” myself, or conquer fears at this point in my life, but it was a one way street, so no way to turn back. And in the end, I am glad for that. The beauty and majesty of the place is really indescribable, and to stand in the midst of it was truly an “epic” 😉 experience for us all.

# These 5 shots were all taken through the window of cafe scenes. I was trying to get a combination of people, reflections and objects.
