The blue vase was a gift to my parents on their 60th wedding anniversary. In total they were married for 64 years. The beads were a gift to me on my 60th birthday from a very dear friend. They are both treasured items.
Thank you to everyone who pauses long enough to look at my photo. Any comments or Faves are very much appreciated.

I frequently tramped eight or ten miles through the deepest snow to keep an appointment with a beech-tree, or a yellow birch, or an old acquaintance among the pines ~Henry David Thoreau
Vision is something that I think is fundamental to artists whether it is within the music industry, fine art photography.
It allows us to be unique and to express what is within ourselves, some say what is part of us. Without vision, we would all be the same. That is what is truly beautiful within art. We are allowed to be our genuine selves and express our emotions as we feel them

Rabbits have an almost 360 degree vision. They can see all around them and even above them thanks to the position of their eyes high on the sides of their head. This 360 vision helps them greatly in spotting their (many) predators. Up close, they a have couple of blinds spots right in front of their nose and below their chin.
Rabbits are also partially color blind unable to see colors in the red spectrum, but they have excellent low light vision that helps them during dawn and dusk just when they are most active.

On my drive to Edmonton, there were a lot of delays due to construction. There were long stretches that were only open to one lane so you'd have to wait 5 - 10 minutes till it was your turn to go. So, to amuse myself I did what any photographer would do -- take photos as I sat in my car. This beautiful scene was through the passenger window. Without the delay, I wouldn't have really seen and enjoyed this so, as they say, "every cloud has a silver lining".
