Standing on the top of the cliff, looking below at the rich colours of the water with the wind whipping at my face, I couldn't help but feel very alive. We were on a 3.5 hour hike and the wind was blowing so much on the cliff edge that I made sure I put the camera strap around my neck to keep from having it blown out of my hands. There was a distinct play of light and shadow on a beautiful sunny day which made it a challenge to capture the scene and do it justice. On our way home, the radio played the Tapestry song by Carole King.
For years we have hiked the trails along this bay and even though the scene always changes, it never disappoints. It has been part of the rich tapestry of our lives...."an everlasting vision".

This is the previously posted image of the light refracted through a globule of river ice, rotated and symmetrically copied twice to reveal this visually intense image. The complex symmetrical geometry could be seen as a conceptual vision of the divine consciousness manifest in the structure of the universe and the transcendent dimensions of reality.

Por suerte disfruté de siete hermosos ocasos en la caribeña isla de Aruba. Este fue el último. Por la derecha aunque el astro no estaba aquí... también era una visión espectacular. Buena semana para todos!!!

The hidden waterfall at Sombrio Beach is well worth a visit, though when you do , try not to fall on other photographers and break their gear in the process! Unfortunately this is what happened to me but thankfully , minimal damage done !

As the evening sun sets over the Atlantic across the Bay of Kommentjie I captured this one. It is filled in my mind and eye with whimsical dreams and soft finesse of what would be my perfect calming dream of a magical place.
