Small village in Japan with beatuful Gassho-zukuri houses.
Unfortunately it was between snow and sakura season.
Really nothing season but the view was still amazing.
I made into a short slide show (44sec).

Merlin excitedly said "Santa we can help you and the reindeer with the sleigh, I'm a big and strong like a reindeer and Miss Morgan is almost as strong as me, sprinkle us with that magic pixie dust so that we can fly too."
"If you are certain you want to do this?" asked Santa.
"It will be so much fun" said Morgan "and we will be able to see all the beautiful parts of the world where our Flickr friends live, it will just be a pity that they will be fast asleep while we visit".
"Then I only have one more thing to ask" said Santa, "Miss Morgan with your coat so white will you lead the sleigh tonight?, Ho! Ho! Ho!"
We wish everybody a Happy and safe Christmas and when you get up Christmas morning you might be lucky enough to come across the imprints of Santa's sleigh, look among the hoofprints and just maybe you might spy two sets of paws prints among them.

I was just looking through my Asha pictures looking for something for Halloween and I came across this wee video which I had forgotten about. It is just a short video showing one of the last tricks I was teaching Asha. Picking up a plush toy from the floor by herself and holding it on command. It just brought back such lovely memories seeing this wee video that I just wanted to share it with Asha's fans in the hope it will bring a smile to their faces too.

The name Kerlingarfjöll means "Old Woman Mountains" in English, due to the distinct shape of the peaks. The range is made up of several volcanic cones and domes, with the highest peak reaching over 1,477 meters in elevation. One of the main attractions of Kerlingarfjöll is its geothermal area: hot springs, fumaroles, and colorful mineral deposits. The geothermal activity creates a surreal and otherworldly atmosphere, with steam rising from the ground and vibrant hues of red, yellow, and green contrasting against the barren landscape.

I took over 500 pics of the redwoods in Southern Oregon and Northern California but it was this v-short video that best depicted the beauty of the site. You can see the biotic pump in action condensing water from fog into rain…and of course all the beautiful trees!
Temperate rainforests are coniferous or broadleaf forests that occur in the temperate zone and receive heavy rain...the moist conditions of temperate rain forests generally support an understory of mosses, ferns and some shrubs and berries.
Temperate rain forests occur in a variety of regions around the world - the Pacific Northwest of the USA & Canada, the Validivian forests of southwestern South America, New Zealand and Tasmania, the Northeastern Atlantic (small, isolated pockets in Ireland, Scotland, and Iceland), southwestern Japan.
These forests pull in large amounts of water vapor from surrounding regions and from nearby bodies of water. As the vapor condenses into rain, the local atmospheric pressure drops...the whole rainforest-water vapor system is called a biotic pump, because the living forests move the water.

The Forth Bridge is a cantilever railway bridge across the Firth of Forth in the east of Scotland, 9 miles (14 kilometres) west of central Edinburgh. Completed in 1890, it is considered a symbol of Scotland (having been voted Scotland's greatest man-made wonder in 2016), and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was designed by English engineers Sir John Fowler and Sir Benjamin Baker. It is sometimes referred to as the Forth Rail Bridge (to distinguish it from the adjacent Forth Road Bridge), although this is not its official name.
Construction of the bridge began in 1882 and it was opened on 4 March 1890 by the Duke of Rothesay, the future Edward VII. The bridge carries the Edinburgh–Aberdeen line across the Forth between the villages of South Queensferry and North Queensferry and has a total length of 2,467 metres (8,094 ft). When it opened it had the longest single cantilever bridge span in the world, until 1919 when the single 1,801 ft (549 m) span Quebec Bridge in Canada was completed. It continues to be the world's second-longest single cantilever span, with two spans of 1,709 feet (521 m).
