Some of you may have seen the build pictures of my basement in Montana from last year. This year was the build of the log house atop the basement. Rough assessment: Playing in snow is fun, working in snow...a whole different experience! Fortunately all I worked on (with my son) was the first and second rows of logs. After that the Amish builders took over and worked 100 times faster than we could have accomplished. After my son left in early November I was still tasked with building a surround deck to support support log beams over the porch. Temperatures were pushing to 0F. More work to do this January!
This video shows one of the surround deck structures and the house, garage in large.
