I created this AI video inspired by Gods of Nemrud: The Royal Sanctuary of Antiochos I & the Kingdom of Commagene by R. R. R. Smith, along with the stunning photography of Ahmet Ertuğ. One image in particular—the limestone head of a God sitting stoically among the fallen debris—was profoundly impactful. The rich backstory of this ancient culture is very fascinating.
The video weaves ancient imagery with a contemporary AI aesthetic, while an Indo-fusion musical score by Sean Dinsmore's Chillums at Dawn Remix-- Mangaiam- adds a distinctive, atmospheric layer. Together, they create a unique and immersive experience.

Heute morgen hatten wir einen atemberaubenden Sonnenaufgang. Leider war ich ein wenig spät mit meiner Kamera zur Stell, doch es ist noch ein sehenswertes kleines Video entstanden aus 1300 Aufnahmen.

A morning on Queen Charlotte Drive watching the sun rise behind Mt Cawte. The locked camera settings give it the holy feel as the increasing power of the sun floods the screen with light. Managed to keep the details of dancing clouds in the foreground, but still does not do justice to experiencing such beauty with real eyes. Twice a day we can watch this colorful spectacle on natures cinema with plenty of empty seats and 100% free!

This is a video of the ice formation on Lake Michigan during a relatively calm day. The gentle motion of the ice responding to low and slow waves was mesmerizing. I hope that you enjoy it, my Flickr Friends!

The hide is fully booked for July and most of August but I have one slot remaining (for a solo photographer) on Monday 7th August.
The hide will close for the season at the end of August although I intend to open again next year (provided the owls are successful) from mid-May. Bookings now being taken.
