I got this idea and directions from School for Us.
Put shaving cream on a baking sheet. Spread it out.Add drops of food coloring and smear around with toothpicks or forks. Place a piece of paper on top and press down. Lift up paper and scrape off shaving cream with a spatula. Then wipe clean with a cloth or paper towels. Paper dries fast!
Unplug from the screens and engage your kids in the adventure of experiential learning. Here in this 4,000-square-foot space specially designed for our pint-sized playmates, children can stretch out and explore the elements of nature at their own pace. Rosemary, scented geranium, oregano, and other fragrant herbs line the ramp, piquing their senses as they bounce along to the rhythms of cascading waterfalls and child-sized fountains featuring a menagerie of creatures. A bamboo maze and a dripping cave provide an element of discovery and surprise. Hidden bugs wait to be spotted in the architecture, set to the backdrop of colorful mosaic tiles. Many of our guests have been bringing their children here for years, and adults who came here when they were young still fondly recall how much fun it was to explore this wonderland. After all, what better place to grow up than in a garden?

Here is another side shot of Taska (with her left leg up?). I considered taking the solar cells off in the rain, but really they do provide excellent rain cover for Duco, we did unplug the cables and properly close the waterproof bag hung off the cage.
Informal gatherings among the beautiful scenery at The Edge made for a great early morning breakfast and wonderful conversations with other #Unplugd 2011 delegates.

The Pemberton and District Community Centre will be hosting an Unplug and Play event on Sunday, May 1 from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm as a kickoff event to Screen Free Week.
The event is geared towards creating awareness for families on the importance of balancing technology use with time with family, creative pursuits, recreation and nature. Children today are increasingly connecting to technology and disconnecting from themselves, their close relationships, and nature. Parents are encouraged to participate.

The time, location, dress, and shoulder-slung gym bag suggest I've been to a Saturday morning jujitsu class. Here I'm pausing by the gate of a facility where Long Beach Unified School District buses spend nights and weekends. I'm on my way to the Blue Line parking garage (visible behind me, on the left, in the mirror), to unplug the Nissan Leaf from a charging station and drive it home.

I am a late night sleeper, and it usually happens that I wake up late in the morning. I get very midget time to get ready myself after having the children ready. It was hard to move for office with a melancholy look, and I was thinking about a unplug curling iron.

Hoy fue la primera reunión con el decanato de la UNEFA, la cual será la sede del FLISoL Caracas este año. Cabe destacar que fue BASTANTE larga y que me impresionó mucho la colaboración y buena disposición que han tenido para con nosotros. Por los momentos no puedo adelantar mucho, pero algunas de las cosas confirmadas son:
* La UNEFA será la sede oficial del FLISoL Caracas 2010
* Habrá un mini concierto de ROCK en el FLISoL Caracas 2010 (si tienes un grupo y quieres venir contactame! )
* Se comenzará a trabajar con el parque tecnológico para tener un torneo de videojuegos. (stepmania y FoF)
* Habrá seguridad por medio de identificativos en las portátiles y pc.
* La UNEFA unirá a su equipo de protocolo con el del FLISoL para ayudar con los esfuerzos de planificación.
* Habrá internet en el FLISoL.
* Y otras que aún no puedo mencionar :D

Today was the first meeting with the deanship of the UNEFA, where will be host FLISoL Caracas this year. Significantly, it was quite long and I was impressed with the cooperation and willingness that they had with us. For the moment I can not tell too much, but some things are confirmed:
* The UNEFA will be the official headquarters of the 2010 Caracas FLISoL
* There will be a mini rock concert at FLISoL Caracas 2010 (if you have a group and want to come, contact me!)
* Will begin working with the technology park to have a tournament game. (stepmania and FoF)
* There will be security through identification on laptops and PCs.
* The UNEFA will join their protocol team with FLISoL to assist with planning efforts.
* FLISoL Will have internet.
* And others things that I can't mention yet :D
Gimp ... nothing: (
like two different worlds over me... each with their wonders, beauty, and comfort... there is some serious turmoil in and over my head. BUT I get to go out with my daddy tonight, and hopefully just unplug from all the over-thinking!

Shot @ Baati Bandh Event, Jaaga,Bangalore,Feb 2010.
Batti Bandh Bengaluru, scheduled for February 13th 2010, will call on Bangaloreans to switch off all their electrical appliances for one hour, from 7 to 8PM, and in doing so, 'unplug' not just for the day but also through their lifestyles in the fight against climate change.

The Jaaga structure is unique, modular, low cost and incorporates eco-friendly elements. The design and build process, spear-headed by Freeman Murray and Archana Prasad has been, and continues to be, an open and collaborative effort.
This Jaaga site is located on Rhenius Street, Off Richmond Road, Opposite the Hockey Association Stadium main gate, Shanthinagar.

skijumping at planica. unplug, kwentin, fabian_stone my brother gert and I joined the party in slovenija. perfect weather and a great event!
My wife and I decided that the best way to unplug from our lives was to get on a boat and get as far away as we can! We got to enjoy to sights and sounds that our southern country of Mexico had to offer aboard the Carnival Fantasy Cruise liner. And, I got to try my hand in street photography using vintage lenses. Honestly one of the best vacations to date, and we are looking forward to going back!
