Someone is in big trouble!

Unplug from the screens and engage your kids in the adventure of experiential learning. Here in this 4,000-square-foot space specially designed for our pint-sized playmates, children can stretch out and explore the elements of nature at their own pace. Rosemary, scented geranium, oregano, and other fragrant herbs line the ramp, piquing their senses as they bounce along to the rhythms of cascading waterfalls and child-sized fountains featuring a menagerie of creatures. A bamboo maze and a dripping cave provide an element of discovery and surprise. Hidden bugs wait to be spotted in the architecture, set to the backdrop of colorful mosaic tiles. Many of our guests have been bringing their children here for years, and adults who came here when they were young still fondly recall how much fun it was to explore this wonderland. After all, what better place to grow up than in a garden?

The night before boarding the train for South River, a number of the participants of Unplugd11 gathered on Front Street, outside the Toronto Westin Harbour Castle Hotel, for a most excellent inaugural campfire.

Of course the one day I decide to wear a skirt to work is the day our big refrigerator decides to blow up. It's really hard to wedge yourself behind a big ass fridge and maneuver to unplug it when wearing a skirt.

In order to start opening your e3, you will need to unscrew 6 screws from the bottom.

Then lift the keyboard by releasing three locks on top of it.

Then unplug the keyboard and touchpad cables.

Unscrew 9 screws that old the top cover (under the keyboard).

Unplug and Play: Pemberton and District Recreation Service hosts free Family Event, May 1Share

Apr 21, 2016

Affected Communities: Electoral Area C, Village of Pemberton

The Pemberton and District Community Centre will be hosting an Unplug and Play event on Sunday, May 1 from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm as a kickoff event to Screen Free Week.

The event is geared towards creating awareness for families on the importance of balancing technology use with time with family, creative pursuits, recreation and nature. Children today are increasingly connecting to technology and disconnecting from themselves, their close relationships, and nature. Parents are encouraged to participate.

This is a role playing game camp in Westford, MA where campers unplug from computers and live the life of heroes who fight monsters, win treasure, and solve mysteries. This style of Adventure Games puts the player right in the middle of the action - where their decisions change the outcome of the story.

I am going to Texas for 2 weeks.

No laptop, no IMs, no texting, no Second Life.

Unplugged.

Wish me well, and have a great couple of weeks!

spend too much time on this thing...but Spring is coming :) more opportunities calling me unplug and disconnect

Jane Wedlake Cardiff UK died Nov 2014

The room with sofas with milked out windows remarkably blend, 3 strangers, She's brain dead, no hope left, we need to agree on a timescale to unplug her... no rush (but rush non the less, rush!), would you like to donate her organs? sister say no, one lap around block (sister in taught) in the fading light of the British grey gloomy winter, The blotted, almost unrecognisable figure that was once Jane in the bed, head half shaven, first surgery stitches now displaced by second surgery staples, with tubes sticking out of every orifices, including some that nature never intended was now “switched off”, the agony lasted some 11 hours, Gassing at the monitor, listening to the bits of the , I fall asleep out of exhaustion, 3 days without sleep, a hand on my shoulder “its almost over” and so it was, lines on the monitor flattening now chest rising sower and slower, then to zero, my love is dead... Tracey the young nurse, out a pamphlet, bereavement and burial....

Truly alone now, a quarter of century with Jane.... a week of platitudes, a life of pains.

The city lights (especially the CN Tower and the Rogers Centre (dome at the base) beckoned through the windows of our hotel. But the rain-dirt spattered hotel window glass made shooting a decent picture close to impossible.

Thanks to Kim Crawford, Jen Deyenberg, Alana Callan, and Heather Durnin for the exploratory jaunt to the restaurant at the top of the Westin's south tower in search of a better vantage point. It was fun! Unfortunately, the glass there was just as difficult to shoot through.

Prior to turning in, I took a little walk. This picture was snapped a block or so west of the hotel, from street level (no domed stadium lights visible), but I managed to find a street car instead.

Time to Unplug from this space. Off to The Edge bright and early tomorrow morning!

I just bought Hoodman's new FireWire RAW CF card reader and have to say it rocks. I'd been using a previous Hoodman RAW USB 2 reader for the past couple of years, and while faster than most other USB card readers I'd tried, the thing doesn't hold a candle to this new FireWire reader.

For my first test of the reader it moved 90 full high res RAW files from my SanDisk card in less than a minute. The reader boasts download speeds of 42MB per second!

As the megapixels (and files sizes) on digital cameras continue to get bigger and bigger and bigger (my Canon 5D M2 is up to 21 megapixel per frame now), getting these large images off of your camera faster and faster becomes more of a task.

Don't be confused by Hoodman's "RAW" moniker on this product. It's just a name and the card handles both RAW and JPG format images. But they should probably rename this product simply to RAW SPEED. The reader comes with a standard FireWire 800 connection which is native on my MacBook Pro. It also has an adapter that comes with it if you need to use it with a FireWire 400 card. Of course, since you are all about speed though you'll want to use that faster FireWire 800 connection.

No more waiting around while cards offload. This reader makes offloading your images a snap, getting you your empty cards back as quickly as possible to keep you shooting and shooting and shooting. The jump from USB to FireWire 800 speeds make this upgrade a pretty damn good one to make. I also find that frequently I'm using all of my USB 2 ports on my MacBook Pro and so I don't have to unplug anything else to keep it going.

Best $80 I've spent in a long time.

KIDDE smoke alarm troubleshooting steps:

1. Wake at 6am due to ear splitting 'low-battery chirp'

2. Groggily figure out which unit is making noise, unplug from ceiling, remove and replace 9v battery (you have a stash of 9v batteries, right?)

3. Noise continues. Consult internet, full of hate.

4. Remove battery, hold 'test' button for 30 seconds. Replace battery.

5. The next day, 6 am again. Repeat steps 1-4 with all detectors in the area. Notice CO detector, blinking smugly from wall outlet near the floor. Remove/disable CO detector.

6. Decide death by smoke or Carbon Monoxide wouldn't be so bad. We're glad KIDDE could help you get to this place of acceptance and peace.

Sheer beauty of the tulips that were in bloom a few weeks ago. My son did well with the eye surgery. I am on my way to take him for his next day follow up exam. We had quite a night of weather...thunder and lightning storms with huge amounts of rain and we are expecting more to hit during the day, night and possibly into tomorrow. So far everyone in my area seems to be safe but there have been fatalities and damage in Arkansas. Pray for their families, please. Will visit when I get home. Hugs!

WE ARE STILL UNDER A TORNADO WARNING, SIRENS ARE BLARING, THUNDER, LIGHTNING AND HEAVY RAINS ARE HAPPENING. JUST WANTED TO LET EVERYONE KNOW THAT THE WEATHER HERE IS VERY DANGEROUS AND TO PLEASE SAY A PRAYER FOR EVERYONE THAT THIS MAY IMPACT. WE WILL NOT BE OUT OF THE STORMS SYSTEMS UNTIL PROBABLY PREDAWN HOURS TOMORROW MORNING. I HATE STORMS AND ESPECIALLY THESE KINDS. I AM GOING TO LOG OFF, UNPLUG THE COMPUTER AND KEEP AN EYE ON THE WEATHER ON TV...UNLESS CABLE GOES OUT.

aNNNNNDDDDDDD she's done. Our glorious real live tree is set up and ready for display. I remember moving into this house and noticing the recessed light in just this one spot and wondering what it was, but I figured out it must be for a tree, and how wonderful it is. There is a light switch which specifically controls the plug down below as well, so you flip the switch rather then plug and unplug the lights each day. And look what my favorite ornament EVER has done to the roof. My disco ball ornament under the light has cast this cool pattern all over the ceilings and walls. I love it. Every year, I buy one new round ornament for the tree. This year, I haven't found one yet. I was looking for a camera ornament, even though I already have one, but I couldn't find one. I did find an awesome buzz beer one from the Simpsons, but I have a thing about the promotion of alcohol and cigarettes, I just don't, so even though its fictional, I passed on it.

Love this tree. It's so beautiful, and is like the best part of the holiday season. The HOA (home owners association) is having their annual decoration contest, and I know I wouldn't win b/c I just have one strand of star lights across the porch, but my neighbor has Black Wonderland over there all over her yard, and I didn't really see anyone else with anything going UNTIL I drove round, and there was this house that was flashing green, then red, then the lights on the roof, then on the lawn, then on the door, and I thought, show offs!!! LOL. The prize is only a 50 dollar gift card to Lowes, so I mean, nothing to go out and spent 90 dollars on trying out outfit your house, but it would have been nice to have our block win it.

Surprise, surprise to me, the usual corner guy who puts up lights has been totally MIA this year. It used to be just he and I doing the lights thing on our block before the family moved in next door, but he has nothing out. Three of our other neighbors have put up wreaths, including the newest neighbor that moved in probably 2 months ago, but no one has seen. Literally we came up with this plan from the lady yesterday at the hospital to bring over Christmas cookies to all our neighbors, just so we can innocently find out who they are. I see cars in and out, I see an x-mas wreath, but we've yet to actually see them. Oompa Loompas much?

You would not believe how many IC clips and parts I melted/smoked

while testing this desulfator. I unplug one pin and all of a sudden a

TO-220 part hits 300F and is smoking. IC clips melting everywhere.

Developing this kit has been a exciting disaster.

The Garage in Burnsiville is a getaway for teens. They offer support to those who need it and many resources.Along with helping teens, they put on shows in their venue, many times oflocal, mostly unknown, musicians. On November 30, we went to The Garage and saw4 different artists. The main event was, or most known, was Chase Coy. Alongwith Chase Coy there was: Rival Summers, Unplug Stereo, Backseat Goodbye. Theacoustic styling of Chase Coy and Rival Summers could make any teen heartsmelt. Unplug Stereo and Backseat Goodbye played enriched tones and deepharmonization. All of the performances had an upbeat, positive out look to their music.

The atmosphere of the show was magnificent. The small size of the crowd made it so you were able to interactone-on-one with the artist. When one artist was done playing their set theywould come into the crowd and shake hands, and even bust out their sweet moves. The bands were so in touch with the crowd. They were even laid back enough totake photos with anyone after playing their set. The highlight of the night wasgetting up close and personal with Rival Summers. Our group was able to discusshow he got the oppurtunity to go on tour with the other musicians. The whole experience was filled withuplifting music, positive atmosphere, and friendly faces. It is a high quality venue for teensat a relatively low price.
