This is a strong photo because the uncluttered plain look, really isolated the orange slice allowing for one to view small details. This photo probably could've been improved by choosing better lighting to have the colors in the fruit appear to be more vibrant, setting a more exciting tone for the picture.
This is a light painting of a friend i did that i believe reflects the assignment given. it is strong, i believe because it shows strong movement of the subjects body, and focuses solely on it. it could be improved by further detail in to the subjext being considered.
I included the sky as an almost plain white background (white due to contrast editing and effects of using f1.2 lens). I cropped it slightly to follow the rule of thirds more precisely. It is strong because of the high contrast, extreme detail, and combination of complementary colors. I dislike that the house on the right side is so immediately identifiable as a house. It could be improved by taking the picture at a different angle to avoid the house entirely.
I thought this object would be perfect for an unclutter picture. The vase has a busy design, and therefore, needs a simple solid background to balance it out. And in this case, the object has many colors so it needs a white background. If I could improve the image, I would want the background to be brighter to complement the joyful design of the vase.

So... yeah.... unfortunately the magazines were near the bottom of my "to be read" stack and Unclutter Your Home was buried deep in the bookshelf. Sigh.
I chose to photograph my father as the main object, but he was not enough to fill the picture and the site of where I was photographing him, people were continuously walking behind him; so I had an idea of photographing my father as the main object and a secondary object was to be the church behind him in the background, which would fill the picture and would create an uncluttered photo. It is a strong photo because it focuses on the objects and it is filled with them too; though, the picture can be improved by photographing my dad in another position where he fills the sky space to his and the church right side (in the pictures left side).
I chose to use these ceramic containers, because it makes a nice, simple photograph. I used the white tile background of my kitchen and let the green counter stay in the picture because it went with the ivy. The photo could be improved with a little editing and maybe by only using one jar so there is absolutely one focus.
I chose this photo because of its simplicity, the only thing in the photo is the eraser, this creates strength and grabs your attention. The lighting and object used could have been better.
My choice for the cluttered shot was a corner of my garage that had just a bunch of things in not particular order. I think it's strong because there is a lot of clutter in the shot. It could be improved if I had filled the shot more.
I chose a group of small magnets forming a tower as my subject. I chose this Item because its complexity lends itself well to photography. I set up the picture as simply as possible by having the item alone on white, I also used a light to reflect off of the object as well as to cast a shadow. It is strong because of its use of depth of field and minimalism. It could be improved by using the rule of thirds, or by having a larger white background to avoid distracting from the item.

I chose to place a glass blown flower by itself in the center of the frame against a blank cream background. It is strong because the flower is the largest and most prominent object in the photo which immediately draws the focus towards it. The photo could be improved by enhancing the lighting so that there is not a large shadow on the wall behind the flower. It could also be improved by placing the flower at a different angle to enhance the aesthetics.

This object was bought fifteen years ago by my mother, and it has great sentimental value to me. This is actually a picture of my dresser with a piece of paper used as the background to hide the mirror. I believe the strength of this picture comes from its simplicity (thus uncluttered). There is nothing to draw your eye away from the object because that is all that is there.

This photo is strong because of the simplicity. The white background makes the red hues of the apple stand out to the viewer and the fact that the label is right in the center of the photo makes it stand out due to the contrast of the background. This photo could be improved with a simpler background. It was hard to find a place in my house where the background was completely white and flat. The pattern on the table and the off white background detract from the simplicity and does not make as big of a contrast then a completely white background.
I got a cool coke bottle and put it on a white backdrop to get a good basic picture where you could focus on the coke bottle. I think it is strong but the lighting could have made it better.

My choice for the uncluttered shot was the plants my Mom had on our dining room table. It's strong because it also shows pattern with the matching plants in the back. It could be stronger by filling the frame.
This is actually a fake flower that I used because unfortunately most of the flowers in my garden died in the Texas drought. The background is actually the wall of a hallway and I used some tape to hold the flower against the wall. I felt the wall had a nice grainy texture. This flower is mostly symmetrical and I believe that the strength of the photo comes from the way it fills nearly the entire frame. It is a very straightforward photograph.
