Working on my "Hand" theme photography group. This is my neighbour Benny. He's been very sick, so I couldn't ask him to move to unclutter the background. We have lived beside each other since.ohhhhhh........... for about 22 years now. Today I was trotting off with my tripod and camera to the bush at the end of the lane, and Ben reminded me there are Bears in there and I might just wanna rethink that. Thanks Ben..or maybe I;d be telling another kind of story today. Benny, he's been a good neighbour along with his wife Annette. (I should have asked him to hold his hands out to me a bit , making the hands very large..practice practice practice)
St. Patrick’s Day is a feast day! What is a feast day you ask? It’s a day where green is a primary color, no longer consigned to be a blend of yellow and blue. However, be kind, don’t drive, and drink so much you’ll be green on Sunday. The only driving you’ll want is the line drives from Otterbein’s softball doubleheader. Once you’ve settled into the acceptance of green being a primary color you’ll want to reorganize your life. The library’s Organization 101 course is the first step. Maybe the first of 12 steps after you’ve feasted on St. Patrick’s Day.

I know that's wild and seems not tight
for I'm supine and you're upright
but when you go gold against the purple sky
when the light on you incarnates bright
when you both hold forth in forms fecund
my gyro turns, my head inclines, my eyes receive
and up up up I cleave
Hanging in Air
What is it about hanging from a picnic table
in a tree-ringed open field that explodes brain space
transforms sky into cosmic ocean makes it bluer
and its clouds into more graceful denizens of the upper winds?
It has something to do with change, blood to the brain
and looking down on what is allegedly up
Beyond that I don’t know – it is a little mystery
Perhaps children know but they aren’t talking

There were two weddings taking place during my walk in Central Park on this day. The park was filled with purple wisteria, lilacs. . . the joy of early summer. I saw a photoshoot taking place. While the photographer was taking the smiling faces I noticed what to me was far more interesting. I pointed it out to the photographer, she let me play with the dress and shoes a bit - - - and wala - the lucky couple had the eye of 2 photographers for the price of one :)

We have successfully emptied half the room of clutter. I moved the emptied bookcase (a solid hardwood piece) to my office, where it may remain semi-permanently. We have one more bookcase to clear and move out. Then I will paint and replace the floor.I tell you, it's all happening!

Unclutter: The boots are an interesting object and the wood table fits the theme well, but they are very centralized and do not fill the page completely.
Photo tip: unclutter a background with whatever's handy. The black background here? A "Macworld Expo" fleece that they gave to speakers a couple of years ago. :-)
I set this small ballerina statue up against my white wall. The light source is my desk lamp.
The object is centered and brings the viewer's attention straight to it.
The lighting could be better; perhaps head-on lighting would be more suitable for this type of photograph.
