Who else goes to the woods to find peace only to discover themselves in the process? I find forests unclutter the mind with each breath the trees afford me.

This is one from the archives. It was taken on the Oregon coast - a long walk through the forest and ended up at the beach.

This is a straight landscape/travel image of Black Sand Basin. The geothermal areas are alive with color from the thermophiles that live in the hot runoff from the geysers. It's easy to see how this landscape lends itself to abstracting, which of course will be coming later. This view of the basin has several small geysers that are erupting continuously. The challenge was to catch them spouting at the same time. In the distance some tourists are looking over the area from the parking area. I like them for interest and scale, but removed three parked cars with the spot removal tool to unclutter the scene. Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, USA, July 2017

Haha you will definitely need to view it here! Hopefully this is somewhat legible.
This may be my 365 for the day; we'll see what creativity turns up as I clean the house and try to unclutter my room today.
Well what do you know, unclutter isn't a word! :)
Jacqueline and Shelby: I WILL have your prints in the mail soon; the mail stopped with all the ice and I haven't been able to get them to you - sorry!
Hey and people - if you're tagged, that means YOU should do this too. ;)
It was an unusually challenging day for Stormtrooper Bruce, working security detail, trying to unravel the mysteries to all the recent break ins, but nothing taken. Now, all STB wants is a few uninterrupted hours to enjoy his dinner and unwind in front of the telly. But the universe had other plans.
STB: Well, this is totally unexpected! What's up with all these umbrellas?
STB: Oh, undoubtedly Little Dude was in the middle of setting things up, and I showed up too early.
STB: But, until he returns, maybe I can unclutter a space to sit and eat my...
UU: Unka Dude, Unka Dude! Guess who-o-o-oo?
STB: What in the universe it going on!? I give. Who are you, or better yet - where are you?
UU: It's me-e-e, Uriel the Unicorn. Doncha just love my displa-a-ay?
STB: Well, it's definitely unique! But you left Part B of my question unanswered - where are you?
UU: Right under your no-o-ose!
STB: You're starting to unnerve me with your uber creepy voice!
UU: That's accause I'm utterly exhau-u-usted. I dropped something under your bed hours ago, and got caught. Rather uncomfortable.
STB: You know, Pinocchio's nose grew when he told untruths. Wonder what grows on unicorns who fib?
UU: OK, OK! I confess - I was hiding. But unfortunately, I really am stuck. Totally unforeseen. Help me Unka Dude, you're my only hope!

Rabbi Simcha Zissel Ziv of Kelm, Lithuania, taught “Take time, be exact, unclutter the mind.” He also said, “The worst thing that can happen to a person is to remain asleep and untamed.”
The flower is an Aquilegia (also known variously as Columbine, Grandmother's Bonnet).
Although I was very happy with this capture and previously shared it with nothing but a touch of unsharp (and later a slight crop to attempt to unclutter the border), in this version I have applied some clonestamping to try and simplify the composition.
One of the original uncluttering space optimization systems from when our Mom's had the same problems we have now! Tupperware.
Our kitchen cupboard after converting it to a dry pantry. Called in the help of a tupperware lady to help us "re-zone" the kitchen. We now have a recession- and cooking process friendly dry pantry. Everything visible, uncluttered, sealed against pests, stored in larger (cheaper) quantities, sealed for freshness, within reach, etc. The bottles and cans were moved to another shelf under our staircase.
The key was to move the shelving heights to maximize better match container heights.
Here's a partial shot of my home office (photos in this set were taken for my Declutter The Mess Under Your Desk! blog post).
The desk is a Palermo office desk purchased from Cost Plus World Market (I believe they're no longer sold). The Logitech V200 cordless mouse and M$ Natural Ergonomic Keyboard are tucked away on a sliding keyboard shelf - a feature I love about this Palermo desk. BTW, the mouse was purchased for $10 after rebate from Buy.com and the keyboard was purchased for less than $20 new off of eBay.
All cables and power bricks have been hidden behind and underneath the desk as shown in this photo and this photo.
The monitor is a Samsung 173P mounted on an Ergotron Neo-Flex LCD arm which I purchased on eBay for $20 refurbished.
The shelf is from IKEA, but I can't for the life of me remember the model - I would personally recommend the BILLY shelf system if you're looking. The storage box on top of the shelf is the IKEA KASSETT, and on top of that rests the FM3 Buddha Machine.
BTW, this is the way my office looks on a regular basis - I've tried my best to minimize any clutter and the only thing that is visible is my MacBook Pro (not shown) which connects to the Samsung monitor via DVI.
Keep plugging away....or just pull the plug? Hmmmm...good question, with so many applications! I'm thinking that I have more than a few projects and ideas that it's probably time to just pull the plug on and move on (maybe some of the clutter and chaos will go away along with them, too! Win-Win!!)
Holy Cow!! I just found this gem in my inbox!! I think it must have been sent by "The Universe"... specifically... to ME!!
"We give our lives
to that which we give our time,
I have learned that it is very difficult,
If not impossible to unclutter one's life
by starting at the top of the pile
with the idea that the solution is to
get things sorted and better organized.
It is nice to get better organized,
but that is not enough.
Much has to be discarded.
We must actually get rid of it."
~ William R. Bradford
Pull the plug. Let it go. Let it go. Let it go.

So, tell me something.....
Do you think it would be utterly crazy of a person that was close to financial bankruptcy, out of work, depressed, etc......that had a house full of antiques, art, collectibles, clothes, furniture, and the like he could reap a meager profit from after going through the tedious process of photographing, cataloging and selling online......BUT instead......wanted to gather most if not all of said possessions and give them away to charity and schools just to clear the house of bad vibes, unclutter his life, and maybe, just maybe, get a big karmic pat on the back somewhere down the road???
I desperately need the money, but I also desperately need to re-affirm my faith in the Universe. So, should I embrace my Buddha nature and simplify my humble existence, or should I buckle down, and sell and sell and sell like mad so I can pay some bills?
I'm just so damn sick and tired of it all.
What do you think?

This is my Palermo office desk setup (you can find more details about my office setup HERE). A Logitech V200 cordless mouse and M$ Natural Ergonomic Keyboard are tucked away on a sliding keyboard shelf. The monitor is a Samsung 173P mounted to an Ergotron Neo-Flex LCD arm which swings forward approximately 15" when in use and frees up the entire desk area underneath it.
All cables are hidden from view using pegboard and adhesive backed nylon mounting bases as shown in this photo and this photo.
This is actually how my desk looks after clearing all items except for the things I use on a regular basis. There are two shelves in the room which store books, notepads, and other office supplies that are used once in a while.
The photo is for my Declutter The Mess Under Your Desk! blog post.
This is the back of my Palermo office desk (you can find more details about my office setup HERE).
All peripherals, a power strip, and power bricks are mounted to a piece of pegboard that is attached to the back of the desk via two "L" brackets (also known as shelf or corner brackets). The cables are attached to the back of the desk and leg via adhesive backed nylon mounting bases (available at The Home Depot & Fry's Electronics).
The photo is for my Declutter The Mess Under Your Desk! blog post.
This is the underside of my Palermo office desk (you can find more details about my office setup HERE).
Seven and three quarter inch neon orange nylon wire ties were used to mount the power brick, power strip, and backup hard drive to the underside of the pegboard. You can see what the rest of the desk looks like from behind HERE. All parts and accessories were purchased at The Home Depot and Fry's Electronics.

My workspace is in a room where the light changes no matter what I do because the windows face west and I get beautiful sunsets. I hope you also like tonight’s view of my workspace.
The 3 stages of decluttering, simplified:
Sort things into “keep” “give” and “trash” piles.
Put away what you keep.
Haul the rest away.
Like many things in life, "simple" doesn’t necessarily mean "easy," but breaking the process down into these categories can help you stay focused.
New version brings Smart Keyboard Shortcuts (brightness, hue etc), new LDT Color Cube Mode, PRO Mode to unclutter interface, Pantone support in #Photoshop & #Illustrator, more!
I have been working on several projects today looking at thousands of my archived photos. Makes me realize I need to organize them better... any suggestions?
I wasn't planning on posting this one today, but it fills me with peace and unclutters my mind:)
Winter is here.
I believe this jelly fish trapped in time is a very interesting subject. I had a printer-paper set up to thank for the white background. I like how the only focus of this picture is on the jelly fish, but I guess that is the point of un-cluttering! I believe I could have improved the angle at which I took the picture, but the others were just too boring. All in all, I believe this is an uncluttered photo!
I feel like I'm up against a wall.
I've gotta turn the focus around.
It's time to disconnect.
I gotta get lost for a while on my own.
Look inside myself and my soul.
Nourish it.
Escape from the background noise.
Unclutter my mind and focus on the path.
Something's been calling me...
and I can't figure it out.
I can't hear it and I need to.
I don't know if it's an idea or a thing...
a philosophy or some change...
but I need to find myself in the quiet...
and listen to that voice.
These dreams that I've been having are powerful messages.
I need to figure out what they mean.
I visualize my self as a caterpillar spinning a cocoon.
The understanding of what it is that I am seeking will emerge from that cocoon with me.
Of this I am certain.
I'll see you on the other side of this wall.
A couple of weeks might do it.
Time and space will tell.
We're all on the same journey.
Love and light.
These photos have been taken for uploading to the Unclutter Workspace Group. Hopefully they'll be of use/interest to someone.
A card for the 'Stamp your story' challenge, my first. I am trying to unclutter my designs, makes life easier. The stamped tag (AC019) is from the 2013 catalog, as is the swirly vine which is stamped very lightly for a background. I have used beige cardstock, I very rarely use white.
I am inspired by my surroundings where I live and love butterflies, birds, flowers, etc. etc. so that is part of my story - another part would be using up the scraps as I found the bird and the butterfly in my scrapbasket. A third is, I love to use bits and pieces that get sent to me - the fern on this card was sent by dogwoodmnr Sally.
How refreshing
an empty space
can be.
Unclutter, baby.
Make space for fresh air.
At the historic area of
Al Balad, my favourite spot in Jeddah.
Streets coloured and scented with herbs,
All kinds of dates, fruits and nuts.
People from India to Nigeria,
Saudi to Jordan,
Coexisting in this beehive of cultures.
Always wanted to photograph the people of this area but felt somehow restricted to do in the open.
Yesterday, another dream came true. We joined a local photography group & knocked ourselves out!
Life,
loving you
even more
day by day.
Thank you @nahdiomar for inviting us.

Day 202 - 7 July 2012
The Kaptain said to unclutter my mind. To think nothing and achieve a state of higher being. Ah yes, the feelings of peace that come over when you only focus on the breath and return back to your infinite source...
What a pity my mind stays filled with rainbows. And my thoughts reign day and night...
Can someone show me the off button, please?

Thanks to unclutter picking this as the workspace of the week:
unclutterer.com/2009/03/06/workspace-of-the-week-the-bare...
This is my primary work station. What more does one need? The desk was found in an antique shop in Calgary. Another disappointed couple was coming into buy it as we were carrying it out.
My MacBook runs closed under the monitor, which doesn't give access to the DVD on this model, but I hardly use it. A power bar is tucked behind the desk on the window ledge.
You can see how steep our street is out the window. I get a little distracted watching people try to park on it.
To answer some Unclutters' questions:
1) I’m embarrassed to say I spend 50 hours or more sitting there each week. It's quite comfortable and workable.
2) I don’t get any glare from the window as the angle from my eye to the edge of the screen would reflect dark panelling not window. The glare from the camera angle may be misleading. I do get a bit of sunshine on me in the morning for part of the year.
3) The only ergonomic issue I have is that the chair has no arms. The chair, keyboard and monitor are at the perfect height for me (6 feet tall).
4) The MacBook hasn’t had any over heating issues.
Using the principles behind such innovations as "warchalking" -- the process of manually noting, with chalk, in real-life, where to find wi-fi signals -- I've begun the process of "wartagging," namely, the process of aggressively tagging things around me, in order to unclutter my own personal data. After this is done, I plan to go to my friends' houses and do the same thing.
I love this bag! So fun and practical. Encourages me to stop carting about stuff I will never use. In HS & Uni I carried so many "just in case" things that I later realized I never used. For example: in one year, I never used the mini sewing kit, aspirin, or flashlight I had. Now I stick to the basics. As I said in the note the Nook doesn't live in my bag, it gets to go for a ride if I know I'll have to be waiting around someplace.
I posted the den desk with the iMac a few weeks ago. Here's my standing desk in my room for the MacBook Pro. When I'm not standing there working, I can close the doors to hide all the mess.
I kept hitting one of the cables with the tip of my shoe, so I decided to lift it, and at the same time tidy up even more
Week 1/52 ~EP Project 52 ~ "Resolution"
Happy New Year my fellow Project 52 Peeps!!
I really tossed around doing this again being that this is the 4th year of doing a Project 52 (three years with Daphne) but I really think these projects not only creates friendships and bonds with fellow photographers, it also helps in keeping the creativity fresh and alive.
I am not one to make resolutions but this year I have decided that I am going to make it about getting organized. So, I started with our bedroom closet. I will tell you that it took me two whole days to finish the cleaning out process, but holy cow does it feel good to purge and unclutter my life. In the process of organizing I decided to redo the hangers too, and went for the black felt hangers. Pricey yes but what a huge difference it makes. I also organized my shoes (click this link to see the fab job on my shoes flic.kr/p/iQ4kLu) and I now know exactly where to find what pair in an instant. And yes......I own ALOT of shoes. LOL
I hope everyone had a great New Years and I really look forward to spending a year in photos with you all. I can't wait to see all your amazing work.
