I chose to take this picture of the basket of apples because I like the pop of color they provide. When I was setting up this picture, I cleared a space for them and then set up my desk lamp so that there was clear lighting on the apples. The bright lighting makes this photo strong. It could be improved by taking the photo in a kitchen setting.

I chose this subject because Legend of Zelda is my favorite video game and I had the figurine on hand, which made for an interesting and unique subject. I decided to set this picture outside my house next to the foundation so I could get more natural lighting and a rustic feel while still maintaining the solid background required for the assignment. I think the image is strong because of its a single subject (Link) against a plain background. I cropped the image so there would not be a lot of background to pull away from the subject. I should have framed it so the bottom corner of the platform did not get cut off.
In this photo I set a candle next to the side of a TV and took the picture looking up.I think that it is strong bacause it is very simple but could be improved by adding interest.

This is a patio bar that I used as a sideboard in my old house. I should have offloaded it when we moved in, but I didn't figure that out at the time. It currently stores the china that needs to go in the china cabinet, stuff that needs to go on eBay, and Stephanie's computer stuff, which needs to go in this spot, but on a desk, which will go here when the bar goes away. For these "not quite useful" furniture items, there's going to be some time and effort involved in getting stuff moved around and discarded, but these are major pieces of the puzzle keeping us from uncluttering.

This picture i took at the Dallas Zoo I thought it looked cool. Its a giraffe takes up the whole picture. It was really big so i had to go to the other side of the street to get a wide shot if the Giraffe. It could improve if it had the plain background but i like it the way it is.

First, I made a white background. Then, I placed the duck decoy slightly angled on the white background. Next, I filled the frame by zooming in on the duck. I also shined multiple light sources on the duck to eliminate shadows. The contrast between the white and the different colors on the duck are strong. The white background helps the orange, blue, and brown colors pop. The smooth lines of the duck really stand out against the background. The photo can be improved by eliminating more shadows.
