7. Less is more. (Although one is often not enough, two are often too many.)

8. Allow extra time to do things and to get to places.

9. Pace yourself. Spread out big changes and difficult projects over time; don't lump the hard things all together.

10. Take one day at a time.

11. Separate worries from concerns . If a situation is a concern, find out what God would have you do and let go of the anxiety . If you can't do anything about a situation, forget it.

12. Live within your budget; don't use credit cards for ordinary purchases.

25. Keep a folder of favorite scriptures on hand.

26. Remember that the shortest bridge between despair and hope is often a good 'Thank you Jesus .'

It's coming along... I have almost all my sewing boxes unpacked. Waiting on new fabric boards to arrice so I can make my fabric all pretty on those shelves to. I am trying desperatly to unclutter, I just have to much stuff... seriously didn't I just destahd a few weeks ago

I have a problem.

Right now it's not real pretty but very functional for me

So.

I did two boxes of 14 DVDs each before I counted. All told, I think we have about 200 DVDs which is admittedly a lot.

I knew that getting rid of them wasn't an option so I sought to store them. What you can't see in the picture is that they're stacked two deep on the shelves making anything really hard to find.

With my trusty label maker in hand, and a trip to IKEA under my belt, I got to work.

Things are all plugged in now, and excess wires were tied up.

With most of my kitchen storage space being open shelving, I'm glad that we have so many canisters and didn't get rid of any in the garage sale before we moved. It allows me to store cooking ingredients on display in an aesthetically pleasing way.

Note that more frequently used ingredients (rice, pastas) are located in another bit of open shelving closer to the stove.

We are entertaining the idea of putting our house on the market, you know, empty nest, down size...all that jazz. I tried SO HARD to unclutter my kitchen....and this is it. LOL...my poor realtor.

After just stuffing DVD into the shelves in stacks and having to dig everything out when I wanna look for something, I decided to make the boxes myself. This way when I wanna look for something all I need to do is pull the box out and read since the title is right there. It holds 30+ dvd each. (not really enough, but better than before.)

After I finished all the shelves, I decided that it was too plain... so I search for some image, and found it. Jack from Nightmare Before Christmas. Blew it up and cut it to fit the size of the boxes (and shelves..) Then the usual, black vinyl sticker on clear sticker and stuck it on the boxes. (it's a work in progress.)

Ok, so the last one is done! It's not perfect, because the boxes that I made weren't perfect (they did what I wanted them to do anyway, hold dvd's.)

first thing first, I decided a place for the DSL modem, so I can see all the led if I want to. and then it was the brick for printer.

this is the grill thing that they use to rest all the fried food (to drain the oil and such) or grill food on. It's pretty cheap and I have a brand new one lying around anyway. I wanted pegboard but I'd have to go out and buy it, so this is good for my purpose. Just to hang a few things so I can get to them easier. Probably good fill up pretty quick.
