Rose water has a number of uses, both cosmetic and culinary.
The toughest thing about making your own is convincing yourself to boil water for several hours during a hot and humid summer day.

Well, I finally made it out to shoot the footage for the first episode of the tutorial videos! Cloud cover did not completely cooperate and we had to rush a bit to get some actual shooting in while filming.
Here's a sneak peak of the greatness to come.
Thanks to my lovely girlfriend Valorie for being the videographer and evidently.. doing dance moves also!
We are both incredibly sleep deprived and excited about going to bed shortly.
I need to get some software for the video editing and then I'll have this up and running as soon as possible.
This first one will be for beginner shooters looking for fundamental tips on going out shooting stars for the first time.

Gente, tudo bom? In brightly lit room in front of an open window, photographed products tend to be flat and uninteresting. The bright light washes away all the detail, and also causes harsh shadows, which detract from the texture, shape and content of your product.
Things to avoid:
* Avoid taking photographs in rooms with bare windows - this will cause a harsh light source on the product (causing the above problems.)
* Watch for shadows, including your own. Preventing the shadows caused by a window frame or camera strap is way easier than editing them out after.
* Avoid taking photos with the light source i.e. window directly in front of you as this will cause your camera to expose for the bright window and leave the product under-exposed.
* If the light is too bright, try adding a diffuser to the window such as a side curtain or in our case (seen later) a window blind. This will diffuse (or scatter) the light more softly.
Repeat steps 7 and 8 until all the petals are used, the water in the collection cup starts to become clear, or you run out of ice.

Megatron has decided to show my contacts a quick and easy way to create beam effects with Photoshop. Please forgive his abrasiveness..
I was offered the opportunity to write a tutorial for Advanced Photoshop magazine back in January... at last it's been published.
The tutorial uses my WLTB™ urban flat shot to educate and inspire fellow Photoshop users into generating their very own architectural abstract images.
It's quite complicated... so don't say I didn't warn you :-)
