To do a full body sanding for evening out the resin color and texture:
1 Start with larger circles (1 1/2- 2 1/2 times the size of your thumbnail to cover a larger area. Press firmly to start (do not dig into the resin, you will scratch it) go in circular motions all over the body, then rinse. Airdry.
2: Check the resin over for scratches left by the sandpaper (I started with 240 grit, and I did have some fine lines) You want to go over it again with the larger grit, just gently using smaller circles (about the size of your thumbnail). I alternate the direction of my circles for more thorough coverage.
3: Rinse, airdry. Check again, then move onto the smaller grit (I finished with 320). Use smaller circles (Thumbnail size) over the areas you see any signs of the sandpaper, and even everything out.
4: rinse, airdry again, check over again, then use "feather circles" to finish up.
5: wash with oxy-clean or detergent, air dry, coat with MSC. If you're going to blush, do that now. If not, give her a few more coats and re-string.
Please note: Resin is toxic if inhaled. Always wear a fine particle mask and some sort of safety glasses to protect your health.
I thought I posted this little trick years ago but turns out I haven’t.
Back in the pre days of Fashionistas, most jointed Barbies had the hip joints from a 70s doll called the Sweethearts Dolls and most of the jointed bodies in the 2000s had the legs from this specific body shoved onto the much more modern belly button Barbie body. This mostly resulted in dolls that couldn’t sit down properly without splaying their legs unnaturally and sitting unlady like.
To help combat this issue, I usually carve out a divot of plastic from the upper thigh joint which helps the doll sit more naturally and with her knees together.
On the left is Ivy’s body which uses the 80s/90s Ballerina Barbie legs on an older Fashion Fever torso next to Hollywood Nails Barbie’s legs which uses the Gymnast Barbie body from the 90s with high heeled feet.

I've been meaning to do this for a while, I just finally got around to it now. Here's my tutorial for the way I do digital mirroring. At the moment I have two main ways that I mirror Images. One is the "square or rectangle method" and the other is the triangle method. Pictured above is a pretty simple visual lesson but I will try to explain it in words.
The photo above the blue line is the original photo. I have drawn a red triangle to show the section I used for digital mirroring. Step one is as simple as that, well, almost. I am using photoshop to do all my mirroring. So first I make a square marquee selection of the part I want to mirror. (keeping in mind that I will only use half of the square selection.. a triangle) then I crop it (or rather delete everything outside the square selection so I have lots of working space) Then I make a new layer with a square at least twice the size of the one I just made. I turn it 90 degrees so it looks like a diamond and I use that to cut out the half of the original square that I don't want to use.
Ok now we are below the blue line, the bottom part of the above photo.
Once you have your triangle (which is half of a perfect square if you made it like I did) you then duplicate it on a new layer, rotate it so the diagonal edges line up. (it should be quite obvious if it is lined up right) Now you should have a square.
And that brings us to the "square mirroring method" Duplicate the square you just made on a new layer and flip it horizontally and join it with the first on the side that matches. Merge these two layers, duplicate on a new layer, flip vertically this time, line them up and BAM! There it is, a new spin on your original photo.
1. Arrange four strips of cotton in pinwheel shape like as shown in the picture. Sew two pieces next each other right sides together.

Tenho uma listinha de coisas que acho que devo melhorar no blog e uma dessas coisas é a quantidade de tutoriais.
A maioria dos tutoriais que faço é com fotos, mas esses dias estou com tempo livre e aproveitei para gravar um vídeo. OH GOD. Tinha esquecido o quanto era trabalhoso gravar/editar um vídeo.
Quando postei essa mani, várias meninas me perguntaram sobre a técnica que utilizei. Então gravei um tutorial explicando o processo.
O nome da técnica é carimbada invertida (não sei se tem outro nome, mas eu chamo assim) e ela consiste em criar decalques/películas usando carimbo.

This is showing how to assemble a side of basket. Fold light blue strip diagonally along light green strip, putting two sides together. Sew from bottom to the end of light blue fabric.
NOTE: Do not sew seam allowance.
縫い合わせ方を写真でご覧ください。ここでは、ライトブルーの布を斜めに、底の部分に三角ができるように折り返し、隣のライトイエローの布に布端同士を重ねるようにします。縫い代を縫いこまないようにして縫い合わせます。
