Sadly, nineteen-year-old Gumbo has not been healthy enough to maintain his top spot, and Mr. Grigsby makes a point to make certain every other feline knows that he is the new #1. Especially a pesky eight-month-old kitten. Lulu has no choice but to respect Mr. Grigsby. She often chooses to avoid him unless I am near. Smart little girl.

I got the top for his quilt done!
Used crazy 9 patch blocks and white sashing. Used the tutorial at Oh, Fransson for the 9 patch blocks, but in a different size (mine are 12"x12" finished blocks and hers in the tutorial were 7.5"x7.5" finished).
No pattern for the quilt, just knew how big I wanted it to be (70"x90") and did the math. :)

Ragged Top Mountain stands out in the Ironwood Forest National Monument, located NW of Tucson Arizona. Saguaros, barrel, cholla and prickly pear cactus, dot the desert terrain, along with Mesquite and Ironwood trees.
The bigger "Tempest" sticker is a little bit too large, because I bought it before finishing the final build.
I think it does look ok, but I'll order some correct ones in the future.
My top hat now that it's been water polished. As you can see, the shine is remarkable, but it unfortunately highlights the structural damage to the hat.

Twelve of the estimated 1500–1700 taxa in Peperomia show a particular feature: their terminal inflorescences seem to originate from the base of a leaf blade as a result of the presence of a sessile leaf at the base of these inflorescences. Three of these 12 taxa occur in Ecuador and four species are reported from Colombia. From Peru, 5 species are known, all of them with condensed lateral branching.
P. paradoxa is endemic to Ecuador.

Like me top lad Marko has a thing for Alfas and after nattering about them a few times we arranged to shoot them at a location he had in mind. We met up at his house then headed to the spot where we met up with another top lad Dougie , the man with the srobist gear ;) Mine was dirty so on this occasion his got the lime light or should i say strobe light :D
Ive tried this type of photography once in a studio with models but had the equipement set up and was told which settings to use. This time it was every man for themselves but firstly me and Dougie were chief flashgun positioner/holders as we set up 2 SB900s on stands to the passenger side and i handheld one SB800 and my Nissin Di622 Mk2 over the bonnet/boot area. I i was well impressed with my Nissin as it synched perfectly with the Nikon commander etc baring in mind its half the price of the Nikon equivelants :D
Firsty we pointed the car facing us and after Marko had got his shots Dougie had a blast then it was my turn :) After that Marko spun the car round and we all went again throughout dodging tractors and all sorts driving along the country lane. As Marko said its good to try something different and as you all know i love different types of photography :)
I have to admit i was getting serious camera envy with the D300s & D700 floating about :D

It was the first time I went up there, and the feeling of being so small is bigger than wherever.
In the sunroom, looking up at a shelf full of some of my favorite things. I think the ceiling at the high point out here is over 15 ft tall. The ONLY reason I could have that huge Christmas tree this past year! :)

Discovering new Chinese diecast brands which actually make licensed castings is pretty rare so it was a lovely surprise to discover Top Mark back in January 2016. This very sharp looking Lamborghini Gallardo is typical of what they produce with its smart and well applied metallic paint, realistic styling,detailed lights and badging which makes it just as well produced and desirable as anything by our own Western toy makers.
Unfortunately these can't be bought from your local discount shop but thankfully can be found on the Chinese AliExpress website. Mint and boxed.
