I had this head with ruined hair, so I decided to give her a flock. This is the first glueing passage. I cut her own hair in super tiny pieces to do this flocking.
I'm getting into this trouser-wearing lark, although, to be fair, I've had a great deal of practice if you think about it :-)
Anyway, here I am at another meeting of the Surrey Swans.
The top tube of my fixed gear bike broke. I bought the bike in 1987. I guess I got my money's worth.
I was riding yesterday and the frame felt oddly squirrely. And this evening the whole front end shimmied like crazy, but because it was dark I didn't notice the break in the top tube until I was within a half mile of home.
To Georgie: It's probably a good thing that I didn't try standing on this top tube this evening :-)

Pés na Areia – Impala: Acho que é um dos rosas mais lindos da minha coleção. Amei os brilhinhos dourados.
Charmosa – Dote: Achei que não ia gostar, porque achei muito acesso no vidrinho, mas ainda bem que paguei língua, é muito lindo!
Hello – Beauty Color: Não tinha nenhum tom assim na minha coleção, adorei quando usei.
Burguesinha – Ellen Gold: Sem comentários pra defini-lo. É perfeito!
Georgina – Rivka: Adoro essa holografia discreta, a cor, tudo!
Brinde Comigo – Impala: Holo fraquinho prateado lindo demais!!
Quadrado Azul – Colorama: Outro azul que gostei bastante, necessito usar de novo.
Pétala Chic –Avon: Rosinha nude mega elegante, não parava de olhar quando usei.
Só espero que em 2014 eu compre menos esmaltes, use mais os que tenho e que não tenha mais uma fila gigantesca de não usados =D

Maritime top by Liesl & Co. Size 10 in a pink laguna stretch. I love the neckline and the sleeves on this top, and also the split hem. I wasn't sure about the fit on this at first, but after wearing it for an entire day I love it! Can't wait to try this in a striped fabric.

In addition to the jumper and the photobooth, I also planned an extensive secret agent/spy themed scavenger hunt. I spent a good two weeks planning it. Each team was given an envelope with 9 tasks to do. I wrote out the instructions very clearly (keeping in mind the 6-9 year old audience) and I ran it by Jane and a few other friends. Everyone thought it was good to go. But once the scavenger hunt started, it was pure chaos. Kids running around every where. Nobody exercised any discretion (screaming out the answers for all the other teams to hear). lol. Kids skimmed through the instructions for each task rather than reading through them thoroughly. As a result most of the tasks were done wrong. Hahaha. My head was spinning. In the one hour that I gave them, I was fielding questions left and right.
In each envelope, I included a set of 5 photographs for each team of "stolen artifacts". Each team had the same 5 photos. And I clearly stated in the instructions that they had to locate the artifacts (which I placed around the house) and write on the back of the photo where they saw it. I wrote in the instructions not to take the artifacts since each team had to find the same set of artifacts. So I'm sitting in the livingroom chatting with guests during the scavenger hunt and I see kids running around the house carrying the artifacts. lmao. For another task, I taped ten 8x10 photos around the house of celebrities (wearing disguises that I photoshopped onto them). The instructions clearly stated to not take the photos, but to figure out who they were and write down on their sheet the names of the celebs. Same deal...I saw kids running around with the 8x10s. Ayy yai yai.
In the end, I realized that I probably should have waited until Jessie was 12 or 13 to do the scavenger hunt. Haha. Oh and what was also funny was that the team that won, was the youngest team, which was made up of an 8 year old, two 6 year olds, and one 5 year old. Some of the other teams had three 8 year olds. :)

Top was born between Tran ♂ (1985-2004) and Lip ♀ (1992-2010) at the Ueno Zoological Gardens on the 20th of August 1997. He had been at Zoorasia for a long time but now he came back to his home. He is now 14 years old. His parents were both from zoos in Germany by the way... He is related to Deru ♀ @ Zoorasia.
The yellow is Kona cotton that I bought when Joanns was selling out of it for .75 a yard, I think I have about 5 yards left, knew I would use it some day

This top, made by Melanie, uses McCalls 5977. I added sleeves, and used the bias binding on the sleeves and neckline. This pattern was a great one to use, and had optional embellishments for the front. With the crazy Daisy Chain fabric I had already, extra ebellishments were out of the question!
