Teazel (& obligatory ball) on Simonside on a bit of a gloomy day a couple of months ago.
It was glorious up there today.

Yup , another random car find and this time a Morris Minor convertible .
I think it is a 1961 948 cc model .
It looked in a very good condition from what I saw at a distance .
A combination of to images made out of a total of 26 stacked images of 13 - 15 seconds of exposure each.

This Painted lady butterfly (Vanessa cardui) sits on top of the tallest New England aster (Aster novae-angliae) as if it has the best pollen. Everyone seems to like the late summer blooming asters.

On top of an ancient volcano near Sunset Crater National Monument. Two more volcanoes in the distance. The closer one is Strawberry Volcano.
Those antlers can't be as heavy as they look otherwise this Fallow Buck would never be able to raise his head from grazing!!😁
There are few things more enjoyable than fall hikes in the mountains, you get dramatic scenery and I find a wonderful blend of colours with autumn and winter combing at different elevations!
