Railway system in Thailand seems to stop growing since decades ago. Some people may think of it as incompetence but in my eyes it is something fascinating to see a technology of past decades still running till this day. This is taken from Bangkok Station or Hua Lamphong Station.
Both the statue and the song are priceless. Love the position and the butterflies in the reach.
Just like the lyrics say, 'We let the story begin...' , there's a deep connection to the heart and soul, looking at that, in this environment. So smooth capture, essence of beauty, mind, and expression in a timeless stance.
Pentre Ifan, a 6000 year old ancient burial site in Pembrokeshire, Wales, UK
Pentre Ifan is the name of an ancient manor in the civil parish of Nevern, Pembrokeshire, Wales. It contains and gives its name to the largest and best preserved neolithic dolmen in Wales. As it now stands, the Pentre Ifan Dolmen is a collection of 7 principal stones. The largest is the huge capstone, 5 metres (16 ft) long, 2.4 metres (7.9 ft) wide and 0.9 metres (3.0 ft) thick. It is estimated to weigh 16 tonnes[3] and rests on the tips of three other stones, some 2.5 metres (8.2 ft) off the ground. There are six upright stones, three of which support the capstone. Of the remaining three, two portal stones form an entrance and the third, at an angle, appears to block the doorway. The sheer size of the huge capstone that is supported by the larger dolmens makes it overwhelmingly likely that the stone was not brought in from elsewhere, but already stood as an independent glacial erratic on the same spot it now occupies.

Last year I happened to stumble upon a young mother and her children in the local bluebonnet meadow and I offered to take some photos of them together.
As their Mom came back over to where I was standing, I managed to shoot this moment when the kids were playing with the flowers without taking notice of us....and it ended up being her favorite shot, and mine too.
I've reworked this a bit with software that I did not have available last year.
If you have the time, I hope you'll view this at the larger size linked below:

The wonderful old and historic Highfield House in Stanley on Tasmania's northwest coast.
I may post the original colour version of this one day as there was a wonderful blue sky, lush green lawns and the colour of the rust on the old cart really stood out, but somehow, it looks appropriate in black and white with a feel of maybe having been taken any time in the last hundred and fifty years. I even managed to avoid any power lines that were around the property.
The colour 3D version of this slide was on display in the Stanley visitor information centre in the days when I ran a small 3D photography display business.
Original colour slide was taken between 2007 and 2009 with a 3D World medium format stereo film camera using Fuji Provia 100F colour slide film. Scanned with a Canon R10 with RF24-240mm lens and Nisi close up attachment.

For me many old buildings have an elegance which is rarely achieved architecturally these days
Aphrodite's Rock or Petra tou Romiou?
One rock – Two legends:
The one associates this place with the birth of Aphrodite, the goddess of love, beauty, pleasure, and procreation, perhaps owing to the foaming waters around the rock fragments, hence the name Aphrodite's Rock.
The other associates the place with the exploits of Basil, a half-Greek (Romios) and half-Arab, explaining the name Digenes (two-blood). Legend tells that the Basil hurled this huge rock from the Troodos Mountains to keep off the invading Saracens, hence the name Petra tou Romiou (Rock of the Greek).
The fall of 2015 featured many, many amazing colorful sunsets, such as this one over the beach grass in Jean Klock Park in Benton Harbor.
