The passage of time could tell some stories of life passing bye. This view is from the Strand in Kilfarressey,Co.Waterford, between Tramore and Annstow. In the South East of Ireland
Just another frame of this magical scene.
Privately owned former New Haven (later Penn Central, Conrail, Metro North, and ConnDOT) FL9 2058 is paused on the Housatonic Railroad's Berkshire Line main at MP 79 beside the historic 1903 built Lenox Depot now home to the Berkshire Scenic Railroad museum. Coupled behind her is the three surviving cars (out of six cars originally) of the 1956 Budd built Roger Williams experimental high speed trainset. She will shortly head south with the Housatonic Railroad's NX12 crew on board for an historic run under her own power down to Canaan, CT where she and the Budd built train will be on display with HRRC equipment beside Union Station as part of the town's Railroad Days celebration.
EMD's FL9 was unique to New England having been built exclusively for the hometown New Haven Railroad. These were the final F units built by EMD and the only ones designed to operate as dual mode diesel-electric or straight electric and the only ones equipped with five axles instead of four. We are fortunate that many survive today on or close to their home rails due to their amazing longevity with some serving into the early 2000s on Metro North. Examples are preserved at the Cape Cod Central Railroad, the Danbury Railroad Museum, the Railroad Museum of New England and the Connecticut Eastern Railroad Museum. This particular unit is privately owned by Webb Rail, but is kept on the grounds of the Berkshire Scenic Railway Museum.
New Haven 2058 was built in November 1960 and once ran here on the Berkshire Line between Grand Central Terminal and Pittsfield which had continuous scheduled passenger service under the NH and into the PC era until finally ending with the coming of Amtrak in 1971. There is something about standing in front of the Teton mountain range that is so evocative of a simpler time...
Near Hustai National Park, west of Ulaanbaatar, I came across a herdsman in transitional attire driving his goats across the long dried grasses of the steppes and raising a cloud of dust. This is a timeless classic scene, right down to the traditional gers in the background.
Often on a hike I become lost in time. Exploring the surrounding. Looking for adventure, looking for a connection, looking for something out of the ordinary that appeals to my senses, appeals to my sense of adventure, the concept of time evaporates along with the world I leave behind.
A little bit of art to cure the sole.
Sometimes i get a bit carried away and the hours just wiz by in a flash, ive been doing some diffirent images over the past few days and i think im actually getting somewhere now (i think)... another Donaghadee!! well what a subject it always makes one hell of an image
MAV Nohab 001 arrives at Balatonfufzo station with a Tekerego service to Budapest. For two days several trains on the scenic Balaton northern line ran with heritage locomotives including this Nohab and two M62 class diesels. The clearly American rooted Nohabs were an anomaly in Eastern Europe which was largely forced to buy power from other Soviet block nations. MAV purchased 20 of these EMD diesels built under liscense by Nohab in Sweden and would have liked more but due to the political conditions of the time were forced to buy less reliable Soviet built M62s.

To the east of the Silicon Valley is Sunol Regional Wilderness, a regional park with many oak trees. I followed a narrow road along Welch Creek in the hope to capture some waterfalls. I took a long exposure of this fairly small creek.
I processed a balanced and a photographic HDR photo from a RAW exposure, blended them selectively, carefully adjusted the color balance and curves, and added some vignetting. I welcome and appreciate constructive feedback.

Railway system in Thailand seems to stop growing since decades ago. Some people may think of it as incompetence but in my eyes it is something fascinating to see a technology of past decades still running till this day. This is taken from Bangkok Station or Hua Lamphong Station.

Both the statue and the song are priceless. Love the position and the butterflies in the reach.
Just like the lyrics say, 'We let the story begin...' , there's a deep connection to the heart and soul, looking at that, in this environment. So smooth capture, essence of beauty, mind, and expression in a timeless stance.
