There is something about standing in front of the Teton mountain range that is so evocative of a simpler time...
Near Hustai National Park, west of Ulaanbaatar, I came across a herdsman in transitional attire driving his goats across the long dried grasses of the steppes and raising a cloud of dust. This is a timeless classic scene, right down to the traditional gers in the background.
Beautifully designed classic cars, the most pocketable classic rangefinder camera, and some plain old panchromatic 400 film pushed a stop makes for an unbeatable combo of classics.
I kept my little XA in a pocket nearly my entire trip from Arkansas to Colorado and back. This photo was taken on a stop over in Salina, KS.

Often on a hike I become lost in time. Exploring the surrounding. Looking for adventure, looking for a connection, looking for something out of the ordinary that appeals to my senses, appeals to my sense of adventure, the concept of time evaporates along with the world I leave behind.
A little bit of art to cure the sole.
Sometimes i get a bit carried away and the hours just wiz by in a flash,ive been doing some diffirent images over the past few days and i think im actually getting somewhere now (i think)... another Donaghadee!! well what a subject it always makes one hell of an image

To the east of the Silicon Valley is Sunol Regional Wilderness, a regional park with many oak trees. I followed a narrow road along Welch Creek in the hope to capture some waterfalls. I took a long exposure of this fairly small creek.
I processed a balanced and a photographic HDR photo from a RAW exposure, blended them selectively, carefully adjusted the color balance and curves, and added some vignetting. I welcome and appreciate constructive feedback.

So the big question is this:
Will a photographer ever grow tired of shooting this iconic barn at Grand Teton National Park?
My answer is easy:
No.
This is the southern Moulton Barn just off Antleope Flats Road about 15 miles north of Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
Hard to believe - but true: The National Park Service wanted to tear down this barn as an "eyesore" in the late 1960's and a few far sighted invidividuals (mostly photographers) convinced them not to do so.
Now it is supposedly - according to Popular Photography magazine - the most photographed barn in the world.

MAV Nohab 001 arrives at Balatonfufzo station with a Tekerego service to Budapest. For two days several trains on the scenic Balaton northern line ran with heritage locomotives including this Nohab and two M62 class diesels. The clearly American rooted Nohabs were an anomaly in Eastern Europe which was largely forced to buy power from other Soviet block nations. MAV purchased 20 of these EMD diesels built under liscense by Nohab in Sweden and would have liked more but due to the political conditions of the time were forced to buy less reliable Soviet built M62s.
