First video post, first timelapse attempt with the 50D.
Macbook pro sitting on the red sand of central Aus, running Canon EOS utility, hooked up via USB to the 50D, shooting every 5 seconds until we had to jump back on our mini bus and go. Assembled in "time lapse assembler" - free, and cool !
Needed an umbrella at one stage...

This is my first attempt at a timelapse video. It was during the Eclipes 2024 Shot from Iroquois in Ontario Canada
this is my first attempt at doing a time lapse video... I edited the photos via camera raw, but that didn't let me do all of what I wanted... and they didn't turn out the best... and I didn't want to go into photoshop with 1100 pictures.
Also imovie sucks. super confusing and caused a lot of trouble that wasn't worth it to get it right for me yet. This was just a trial, so hopefully I'll get better once I figure out the correct software to be using.
This consisted of about 1100 shots within the span of an hour and a half.

An experiment using the time-lapse function on my iPhone and controlled by my watch. This is about 1 hour 15 minutes up to nearly sunset!
This hotel is placed alongside the Bardenas Reales National Park and Biosphere Reserve in Navarra, Spain.
My first attempt at timelapse. (A bit of a trial run really). This is myself and work collegue, weaving a hot air balloon basket at my workshop in mid Wales. (I'm the one in the brown jumper!)

I recently began with Timelapse photography. This is one of the first videos made from my appartement window. Big Dipper passing by over a highly illuminated sky and low clouds.
When Chris Harbeck visited last month, he suggested I try a time lapse series of my tulips. This is hardly the best execute; i merely tried to aim my knee on the same rock every day for 2 weeks, and the time of day varied, but here you got- life and death of one tulip.
There was supposed to eb a sound track, but I've been unable to get audio exported from the new slideshow feature of Aperture 3.
my third timelapse experiment from maslak to selimpasa from view on located at next seat from driver (me).. tokina 10-17 fisheye mounted on canon 5d with triggered Canon TC80N3 Timer Remote Control within one frame per second
ps. sorry about quality.. as you may know, flickr reduce quality due bandwith problem.. video has a full hd (1920x1080) resolution normally with quicktime .mov format
ps2: video is not completed because my 4gb cf card was full. i'll try next time with 32gb cf card :D

Well this is my first timelapse video. Learnt a lot from this experience. It might not be the best but i tried what i could do. Kerala is a beautiful place especially when it comes to the beaches. Didn't get a lot of footage due to a lot of issues. Also my tripod isn't very stable so you can notice how the photos go out of frame at times. I need to get an intervalometer asap. That is the lesson i learnt from my first timelapse experience. The music that is playing in the background was also randomly composed by me (I know its shitty but oh well) All the editing plus music took me about 3 hours of work time. Rendering this on After Effects was a bitch. Also i want to thank Rachel Francis for motivating me to put all of this together.

Following a few unexpected loud rumbles of thunder just after 4pm BST on 3rd April, I set my camera up to run a timelapse and hopefully capture any lightning that may have occurred. Sadly there was no further action in terms of thunder and lightning, but there are certainly some interesting cloud formations going on here. As ever I was living in hope of a funnel cloud or tornado, but that's usually wishful thinking on my part! There was a lot of heavy rain and hail in the local area of North Oxfordshire, UK which can be seen in the distance.
Camera used was a Canon 1100D with 18-55mm kit lens, fitted with 3 neutral density filters stacked up; ND2, ND4 and ND8. This, combined with an f-stop of 22 and ISO-100 allowed me to shoot 5 second exposures without over-exposing and would have given me a better chance of capturing any lightning if it had happened.
Apologies for the hairs trapped between the ND filters. I was in such a rush to get the camera into it's waterproof cover and get started shooting that I didn't check my test shots properly.
