A trio of Union Pacific locomotives, each wearing the company's "Building America" waving flag emblem, lead a northbound intermodal train along the UP Chester Subdivision.

Our last night on Skye and we were greeted with this Aurora. Whilst the forecast was very low, the skies were dark and clear enough to see the aurora on the horizon.

A photograph of a Three Banded Plover seen here on a lake side in the Mkhaya Game Reserve in Swaziland. A less well known, and less visited, game reserve this area is nonetheless a spectacular sight for game and birds.
The dog, sitting on the bench instead of on the ground, seemed to add to, and make the picture for me. Taken in Ghent Belgium.
Those of you who follow my work know I have a thing for shooting freight under wire. The week before last I got a tip that CSXT Middleboro based daytime local B727 would be making a relatively uncommon move that was long on my wish list to shoot. B727 runs five days per week between Middleboro and Attleboro on the MassDOT owned and Mass Coastal maintained and dispatched Middleboro Subdivision serving customers and interchanging with the MC along the way.
On Thursdays they normally sneak out on to Amtrak's NEC main at BORO interlockong for a two and half mile shove west down Track 4 to East Junction to work a couple customers on that historic bit of trackage that I've written about in this caption: flic.kr/p/2jck93J
But there is one other customer in the area that every once in a while gets a switch. And on this day after shoving out they reversed direction and ran east a mile to a short twisting lead splitting off just short of Holden interlocking. This lead reaches down into the building of Polyfiber Inc. a subsidiary of Holland Manufacturing makers of industrial packaging, specialty coated and laminated products, water activated tapes and other products.
B726 ran the mile west with three cars trailing three GP40-2s and just short of Holden they stopped and made two trips down and back on the lead to pull one empty and spot one load before shoving back east through Attleboro station toward East Junction. They are seen here shoving all the way into the building with three geeps to spot up a lone covered hopper at the far south end.

I took these Photographs (some time during the summer of 2001) of Sun Flowers that I grew in my Backyard Garden in Pinellas County, Florida. The Date shown is the July 11, 2001, which is the date that the Kodak Lab Scanned my Film.
Disclaimer: These photographs were taken with my Minolta Maxxim 5000 35 mm Single Lens Reflex Camera with Color Slide Film, when I was just learning photograph, so they are very soft & grainy. I brought my Film to a Local Pharmacy, and they sent it to a Kodak Lab for Slide development and the generation of a CDROM with all of the Slides from my two Rolls of Slide Film. I then touched up the Photographs from the CDROM for Exposure and Saturation with Photoshop Elements before I added them to my flickr˜ Photostream.
An idyllic holiday resort? No, just Sydney Harbour. View from Chowder Head to Sydney North and South Heads.
Built in approximately three days - I worked quite directly from a piece of reference material, which I don't usually do, but I'd say this turned out pretty dang well. I'm currently working on both my Star Wars Factions landing platform MOC as shown in my last post, as well as another cyberpunk vig which is a little larger than this one. I'll try to get a photo of these two cyberpunk builds together once the second is done.
C&C welcome.
It has happened three occasions before for Catford's sole allocation, so this is the 4th occasion, but it is the 1st time I've seen a Volvo MMC on the 208. BL65OYK heads along Franks Wood Avenue, Petts Wood.

Walking down the Boardwalk on Saturday and ready for lunch, the Philly Cheese Steak on their marquee drew me in. It might possibly have been my first authentic cheese steak. Sure, you can get one anywhere, but the cook knew exactly what he was doing... Ready in minutes and it was delicious. I sat at one of the tables in front of the restaurant on the Boardwalk and watched everyone walking by... Felt the wind off the ocean and the sun was warming, though it was only 42°F that afternoon.
Three guitar styles are photographed here, They are a Gretsch G2622T semi-hollow body streamliner, A fender CD-60SCE acoustic-electric and a Sir L7 Les Paul style solid body.

Three fisherman brave the wet and windy December day on the beach.
It was so windy that their rods were being blown over.
Apparently the biggest one got away.
