Frankie and the new guy have three green eyes between them and also a passion for sunglasses. They're awfully cute together. I have some other ghouls coming in that I thought he might be interested in but it seems he's fallen for Frankie!
Some amazing new work from Tina Cooper.

This has become one of my main axes, and perhaps one of my most versatile: a Squier version of the Fender Bass VI. I found it on Reverb for a low price because it was missing two pickups. I filled in the missing pickups with a P-bass and J-bass pickup set I had pulled out from a previous bass. While strung like a guitar, it is tuned an octave lower and thus a true bass. I can play super low and punchy bass lines on the neck pickup, fingerpick the flatwound strings for some smooth chords on the middle pickup, and dig into twangy lead lines on the bridge pickup. Rhythm, harmony and melody, this wise instrument can do all three.

Three hours waiting for my flight and here is one of the results. Another shot from outside the International terminal at SFO. Original image has been cropped a bit for a pano as the light at the top of the pole was a bit intrusive!
In photo one I used the matt effect
In photo two I used an ink frame
In photo three I used a true vintage effect

My editing skills are very basic I'm afraid.

Lisse, 04-05-2006. Het is moeilijk te zien, maar deze fuut had drie jongen tussen de vleugels. Helaas kon ik niet dichterbij komen.
Lisse, 04-05-2006. It is difficult to seen on this picture, but this great crested grebe had three young ones between its wings. Unfortunately, it wasn't possible to get closer to the bird.

We are standing at Dad's graveside. Sigh.
I thought this photo would be a good place to show the eulogy I wrote for Dad. It is in the "comments" section below. Let me say that Cindy edited this eulogy, and she added a paragraph to it. For all my faults, I usually have the good sense to let Cindy go over my written materials! :)
I got the three roll special (about $11 with tip, comes with soup or salad, a bunch of rolls to choose from), because I'm a pig. And you know, after eating all this (and a small salad that comes with the lunch), I didn't feel like I had eaten much. Sushi tends to go into the black hole portion of my stomach. Tastes good though. Maybe one day I'll do a test to see how many pieces of sushi it takes to make me feel stuffed.
