Oh my god, I've changed my mind three times tonight about what to post. Gonna go with this mountain scene taken near Bishop, CA.
Got a couple of hours before I have to go to bed, so I'll let the picture speak for itself, while I go see what you've been posting the past few days.
I've always been a fan of this EMD cab design. With Metra getting these F59s and WSOR recently acquiring mostly three-piece former UP SD60Ms, I'm going to be much busier in my backyard than normal.
Metra train 2135 storms west in the fading light just east of Ingleside with rebuilt F59s No. 97 and 99.
The last three apples on a apple tree. The others have all fallen due the recent spell of windy weather and rain.
If you add up the numbers of each of the huts (89, 90 and 91) it gives a total of 270. If you divide that by 90 it gives you 3.....Again An unbelievable coincidence!!!!!!
Thanks for visiting.
Take care out there
I was on a dirt road in who knows where back country in Virginia when I came across this group standing in the rain watching me go by. I had to get out and take some photos
The German poem "The Three Sparrows" by Christian Morgenstern (see below) dates from 1921 (Era of Expressionism).
Because of copyright, I can't simply translate the poem, but the content is about the three sparrows Erich, Franz and the "cheeky" Hans, who sit in a bare hazel bush in winter.
The poem describes in impressive atmospheric density the protection and security that the three little birds can give each other in the icy cold, with Hans, who sits in the middle, he has the warmest.
Die drei Spatzen
In einem leeren Haselstrauch
Da sitzen drei Spatzen, Bauch an Bauch.
