The SDOBBINS Mk7 VW GTI got some new shoes: Vossen CV4s in Matte Graphite. While we loved the look of the VLE-1, there's something great about how these look too!

This basket of thread once sat in my mom's sewing room, but she deicided that she could no longer keep it. Before it got tossed in a dumpster, I had to take a photo of it.

i crocheted these shawls out of quilting thread a couple of years ago and then never got around to blocking them or listing them till a customer asked about them recently, so i pulled them out to take pictures. i'd forgotten just how many i made! i'll be blocking them all this weekend and then listing them on etsy soon. if you are interested in any before that my email addy is in my profile.
I took the Kreinik No-Knit Fashion Kit and made a rectangular piece of fabric (sandwich Kreinik metallic bits between layers of water-soluble stabilizer), then attached it to a Goodwill dress for a re-fashioning (up-fashioning?) design.
First attempt for Trev. They fit well, although I might want to lengthen the leg next time.
Repurposed some elastic from a long-gone pair.
Potholders are a popular thread crochet craft. This potholder was made with sections from a bedspread pattern (the back is solid). The two sections are attached with an edging of double crochet and picots.
Sometimes taking photos properly frustrates me! The whole of the field at the back of my house was carpeted in fine spider's threads tonight and as the sun set they all lit up. Couldn't for the life of me capture it though, this doesn't even come close *sigh*
I paid close attention to the exposure in this. I wanted to make the thread visible and not overexpose any thing at the same time.
I've never made something bigger than amigurumi using thread. So I just had to work on something like this :)

Not Aqua Velva (the after shave), but Aqua Violet -- the mesmerizing colors of this beautifully draping necklace. (Sorry, I know, bad pun-- couldn't help myself.)
The colors of this necklace are eye-catching. Six separate strands are crocheted into chains using a thin cotton thread that is variegated in color -- from aqua to blue to violet. Each strand is decorated with small "droplets" of iridescent, metallic and translucent glass beads of various shapes (round, seed, bugle, delica), also in shades of blue, aqua and violet. The necklace fastens with a braided loop of the same thread that slides over a round beaded "bauble" created in the same aqua, blues and violets. The necklace is about 23 1/2 inches long.
