Macro Monday. Lost & Found.

This is Teddy who is at least 58 years old.

I once left him on a bus in Glasgow when I was 2 years old and my Dad got him back from the bus depot. Somewhere over the years, he got lost again until I was packing all my stuff to emigrate to Australia and he was found once again.

Curved bookbinding needle and linen thread. If only you could smell the beeswax when the thread gets waxed . . .

Hello my Flickr friends!!!

Today is Monday which is a red day at color My World daily Group. The theme for Macro Mondays is: thread and needle.

It is very crazy here in Montreal, right now… Schools are closed for 2 weeks, everybody who can is working from home, people over 70 are asked to stay home and avoid social contacts… Toilet paper situation (I know everyone wants an update on this VERY, VERY important subject) seems to be better… People got their common sense back…We will see what is next. Frankly I was (and I still am) super preoccupied by this COVID19 hysteria and I hope it will get better in the next few days…

I hope you are all healthy and safe !! I wish you an amazing beginning of the week !!!

Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts / positive vibes!! It is truly appreciated! I sincerely hope everyone is all right and you all have everything you need to survive this with a smile! Have a great day and see you soon!!

And I'd rather not admit the next line ...

Amtrak’s westbound California Zephyr cruises through Tunnel 29 east of Pinecliffe, Colorado, on the morning of May 25, 1998, powered by a pair of GE P42DCs and a GE P32BWH.

Thanks for your comments and faves, they are truly appreciated.

BNSF's Ottumwa Subdivision cuts an interesting path into West Burlington, Iowa. Lots of neat old buildings line the main on their way out of the Mississippi waterfront. Just after dawn on a slightly humid July morning, Eastbound BNSF C ATMCLS0 85A brings the black diamonds from Wyoming to market, coming up to Main Street in downtown West Burlington.

#MacroMADEMOISELLE group – New Theme on Sunday “Cotton Thread”

.Have a fabulous day :-)

This might be a new record for me. Six manned moves in the same shot at Proctor.

The dance card reads as follows: In the upper left in front of the yard office is the power off a pellet load that just arrived and is heading to the house for servicing. In the upper right is a locomotive set moving from the house for an empty limestone train that will be run to Duluth and spotted at Hallett. In the center is U-715 on limestone loads ready to depart for Minntac. Center right is the 12:01 "Extra Switch" using road power. In the lower right is L-511 with a transfer from Pokegama Yard and in the center is the 1400 PRS crew with a loaded ore train off the scale track preparing to "thread the needle" to Dock 6.

The only distraction are the heat distortion waves off the closer locomotive sets - hard to avoid in these winter conditions. I'll take the warts, along with a wonderful sunny sky. Some will say ETTS, but I say bring on the activity versus dormancy. No blues at Elwood on this fine Sunday afternoon.

Happy Macro Monday to all flickr friends, HMM

in a nuclear power plant

Why use one needle, when a pair has to be better?

No one knew quite where the Thread came from.

A visual remnant of a whisper

A secret between plant tips

One connection of many

In a forest of consciousness

So delicate, like a thought

You can barely remember

Just on the tip of your mind

Was the thread really there?

Perhaps, imagined into existence

Look away during a gust of wind

And it's gone...

A bit like us to a mountain or an ocean or a large redwood tree.

Maybe we should all just stop fighting.

And find the thread between us.

Smile On Saturday 1.9.2018 "Thread"

Diameter < 2 mm

Focus stack"

Red the thread soaked in passion

Red like the poppy in the first sun

Lovely entanglements follow

The endless path

While the flowers do not flower

They move at the first breath of morning

Joy and intense emotions

They trace ancient stories

How ancient is

Love
