These crochet earrings where made with a turquoise thread and pearl glass seed bead

The Source is a United States-based, monthly full-color magazine covering hip-hop music, politics, and culture, founded in 1988. It is the world's second longest running rap periodical, behind United Kingdom-based publication Hip Hop Connection. The Source was founded as a newsletter in 1988. The current president of the publication is Jeremy Miller. From humble beginnings, the Source had grown into one of the largest and most influential hip-hop publications in the United States. It had even grown to the point of being called "The Bible of Hip-Hop."

We developed and deployed a new all flash website for the source magazine together with Plot, the project due to the vagaries of hip-hop magazine culture di however not live many years before it was taken down in favour of its current myspace incarnation

Thread a spoke-nipple onto the spoke, just enough so that it doesn't fall off. It doesn't matter that it gets all gunked-up with the compound--that's actually what we want.

Our first attempt to get some photos for the website. A mixed bag.

Just more experiments with the finer details of various objects.

I thought my finger would give you a good idea of how tiny this is. a little over 2".

Day 26/365.

Assemblage of Utero Bob.

The is a 2.5" thread bear crocheted from size #16 Finca perle cotton. His collar is also crocheted from the same size perle cotton and embellished with 3mm Swarovski crystals. He is fully jointed, has black onyx bead eyes and an embroidered nose. He is stuffed with polyester fiberfill weighted with steel shavings for a heavy-in-your-hand feel.

Not Aqua Velva (the after shave), but Aqua Violet -- the mesmerizing colors of this beautifully draping necklace. (Sorry, I know, bad pun-- couldn't help myself.)

The colors of this necklace are eye-catching. Six separate strands are crocheted into chains using a thin cotton thread that is variegated in color -- from aqua to blue to violet. Each strand is decorated with small "droplets" of iridescent, metallic and translucent glass beads of various shapes (round, seed, bugle, delica), also in shades of blue, aqua and violet. The necklace fastens with a braided loop of the same thread that slides over a round beaded "bauble" created in the same aqua, blues and violets. The necklace is about 23 1/2 inches long.

Yes, more sewing thread and 1mm (5/0) needles.

This is the Al Fresco Camisole pattern from the summer 2011 issue of Interweave Knits with a few modifications. Other than the obvious changes for scale and size I've also opted to knit it in the round rather than as two flat pieces that would need to be seamed.

I am about 25% finished at this point, and worried it might be too big for the doll in question. It's hard to tell since the faux cable treatment might draw it in a bit when I get to it, after the bind off.

Here is an easy way that my grandmother taught me to knot a thread when hand sewing. It is very easy for children and people with eyesight difficulties. Could not fitt whole video on sorry...

Hope it is useful, I call it Oma's Knot

Sorting the colors of my mother's and my spools of thread was fun and productive.

Threads for Somalia Fashion Show was presented by Ka Joog and Mohamed Hersi on October 29th, 2011 at the Cedar Cultural Center in Minneapolis. Photo by Poet Nation.

The threads don't really work, but I think with a higher polygon count and better settings this just might work out.

The thread ran this way and that way. it weaved up and down. At the end of this yarn it was caught in the eye of the needle and could not escape until it was sewn up.
