I think this tree looks great. It was originally meant to replace our old wobbly artificial tree which really is past it -- but then we discovered how bit this one is! So it's ended up actually replacing the real tree we usually get. We don't have the lovely Christmas tree smell that we are familiar with though. It does feel a bit less Christmassy.

People think of Pittsburgh as a place of lots and lots of hills, not so. It is a world of valleys, large and small and ravine,s lots and lots of them all leading to the Ohio. For the people that live here, the term shopping up and down the valley means just that. Tonight we were shopping and eating dinner in Ohio valley as a storm passed over. We finished shopping when we saw this sunset breaking through the storm. So the race was on. Up the large valley, turn into a smaller one, then along the ridge to a local park. Stopped the car near the three tier monument, steadied the camera on the 2nd tier because I am to old to climb all the way to the top, and shot this photo.
