You think you're cool? This bug has striped eyeballs. AND horns.
Some species of Ceresa, if my amateur bug ID skills are right.

I think the staircase to the upper deck is at the tail of the bus, but I could not see it.
The black bus is as tall as the London Bus. It seems to be a kind of double-decker sightseeing bus whose lower deck is used as baggage storage. We call such buses "high-decker." I doubt the word was made in Japan.
A lot of people do not think the New Zealand native tree pokutukawa (Metrosideros excelsa) is suitable as a street tree as they can be straggley and messy, but I think they are magnificent and well deserve their alternative name of 'New Zealand Christmas tree'. Wellington City, where I live, has adopted them enthusiastically and they are a bold feature during the Christmas flowering season. These photos were taken on Boxing Fay (Dec 26) 2011 of pohutukawa flowering in the streets near the Wellington waterfront.
found this quote when searching through general moon quotes and it really made me think. it is so completly true. what are we doing spending thousands exploring new areas of the solar system if we can't even support the people in the areas we already claim?
over 5,000 views by the way, thank you so much<3
You might think we put this on her for the picture, but we didn't. She wears this helmet constantly!! She's a freak, what can I say.

Custom Jumping Brain by Jason Freeny: "Looking over my calendar I noticed my time is running short to attack this Jumping Brain custom. This will be for an Emilio Garcia custom show in early September... My plan is to modify this guy into a tiny little tank with treads and turrets. Rust it all out in faux iron. Working title "Think Tank"..."

I think the processing turned out a bit like a Silver Gelatin. Is that what I mean? I should really learn more about this photography stuff.

——
The Race for the Cure® is the world's largest and most successful education and fundraising breast cancer event ever created. Once again, ThinkPinkLux in collaboration with ThinkPinkEurope organized a Race for the Cure®. The event is a non-competitive walk or run to celebrate life, show support to survivors and remember those who are unfortunately no longer here. Funds raised in Luxembourg will remain in Luxembourg and go towards our research project at the Luxembourg Institute of Health.

I think the fit is okay (these are the shoes from Tommy February 6). They are maybe a bit too short and could be a bit broader. But, as it is so hard to find any shoes that fit Misaki, this is already a good alternative!
Do you ever watch the sunset ..!

I think I'm the last person on the planet to get this figure - Figma 515 Alter Ego/Okita Souji (Alter).
I think she was supposed to ship at Christmas but even the all mighty Goodsmile Company ended up having delays on their stuff due to COVID, and so here we are, June 2022.
Oh well, such is life.
Aesthetically, things are pretty much what you'd expect from a Figma, though I have to say the paint apps on the scabbard seem a bit on the lower end of acceptable for a Figma product.
Face plates seem a bit off compared to official art work, especially since she doesn't look like she's not slept in about a year.
Articulation wise, not bad. They took a few steps to minimize how her looks affected her posing powers. Hair has extra points of articulation, as well as her skirt. Waist and hips feature some new tricks, which combined with a softer skirt material, do allow for some decent dynamic posing. Her feet, however, will result in you basically having her anchored to the stand at all times.
I think it will be a while before I go out to this spot again. It's a great spot, every time I've gone, 2-3x, there's always been other "Train people" there. That's not the issue. The way the tracks are laid out, if I want to be able to flick graff on all of the tracks, not facing the sun, it's going to be a lot of running.
I don't know how many of you follow me and also bench, but if you do, you'll understand that there's great spots, there's good spots, and then there's dificult spots. All of them can have lots of action, but some spots are WAY better than others for getting flicks. This is one of those spots where it's super chill, other train people there, but getting flicks of graff is difficult for me. We get a lot of stackers, and if shooting with the sun, the tracks are progressively lower.... Hard to explain, but this is a great spot, just not easy. I'll visit again in the coming months and see if I can get it to work for me, but as it is right now, I like to go there, I don't like to get flicks there.
Fun Story: I drove down in-between the tracks today for the first time. Everything was fine. Most people stop to watch the trains from the access road above. Probably 25ft. higher and 50ft. from the closest track. Whatever.
I'm there for maybe an hour at this point, lots of cars and trucks coming and going. One stops, some small SUV thing. Father/Son. Son about 12-14yrs. I'm about 40 yards away, but down the hill from them, and I can clearly hear everything they are talking about. Father seems very supportive of the son's interest in trains. Cool ! First train (for them) starts down the tracks and I hear a train whistle, but it's not from a train, it's from the kid. He's got one of those wooden train whistles and he starts blowing it when he sees the train.
Gave me a smile. I could clearly her the kid talking about the UP, and then the BNSF, etc etc.. Kid seemed to know his stuff. We had one NS train come through and he spotted it from a mile away. The kid filmed every train that came through while they were there, and the father was telling him something about his intro's on YouTube, so I'm sure he's a YouTuber. I really wanted to go up and talk to them before they left and see if they were from around here or not. If not, I have some fun spots they might want to check, but they left before I could.
Getting ready to leave after only a couple hours and I can see there's some graff on one of the small train bridges. Decided to check it out before leaving. F-ing cool spot. Lots of writer's monikers, and quite a few larger pieces. Had a lot of fun trudging through the weeds, and the small stream to catch some flicks of all the goodies under and around the bridges. If I go back there, it will be to check out the bridge graff.
As always, Had fun, and saw some cool pieces.
Thanks to all of the writers. Stay safe out there, both writers, and fellow benchers.

yes I know not even a small child would think this is real.but so what! I´m here to get better right? ;)
This sign cracks me up, it's posted several places in the bathroom facilities at our local park, but the funny thing is they keep no paper towels, hardly no tissue paper and no hand soap in the restroom, so how is this good for our Health....I'm just being silly me....lol
Think Mini and the current not-so-small three door hatch immediately springs to mind for most. It remains the closest to the original model that defined the brand when it arrived on our shores in the early 1960s and created the cult-like status Minis old and new enjoy worldwide.

I think this is a typical threat display. I was standing on the concrete retaining wall that the road runs across, & this guy came motoring over. It swam back & forth for a bit, then reached up & started chomping vigorously on the toe of my hiking boot. When that didn't produce much reaction (aside from me taking a step back), it tucked its head all the way down onto its neck & resumed cruising back & forth in front of me.
