7DoS Texture Tuesday, stationery theme

Well Shantel's Chapter 3 strikes again...for my last 2 days so holes will feature 3 days on the run !! Featuring my mini colander that is full of holes, I have also added the Aurora texture from Kim Klasen for this weeks Texture Tuesday. I have added the texture and set the blend mode to Hard Light at 90% Opacity after tweaking curves.

During the weekend, I noticed some fishermen preparing their catch of the day for taking away and the pelicans were enjoying what was being thrown down to them! Absolute feeding chaos!!

Happy TT! Thank you Jill for the fabulous Waxworks textures from Flypaper. I wanted to do something a little out of my comfort zone with the Lens Baby. Hope you like it! I'm not sure if I do...

So grateful for your visits and comments - be well dear friends:)

This is the spine of a very old family ledger. It is dusty and spattered with ink but fascinating to read and photograph. It seems to fit perfectly for today's theme.

I’m visiting my daughter this week, and I thought this corner of her kitchen was a nice ready-made “still life”.

It’s “Texture Tuesday” at 7 Days of Shooting and the theme for the week is “Decorative”.

So let me explain! Hubby and I cleaned out our garage this weekend and I found my little tote of antique bottles. That's why you are seeing bottles as vases these days.

I was planning to get this done for Texture Tuesday over at Kim Klassen's Cafe. But it didn't happen.

The theme is: The Orange eDition.

I used her textures: Light Paper 2 and French Market.

Check out the awesome submissions that LINKED UP!

for 7DoS: I've seen some great ideas for this theme in the 7DoS pool and as soon as I've finished my painting task, I hope to take a few shots ... might even get outside with my camera!

Meanwhile, here is my grubby looking penguin family, playing in the tiny bit of snow we had at the beginning of this month.

for 7DoS: an energy source much used in my house, especially now that it's getting colder. Piped to our houses it's mostly unseen - but there are places where it can be accessed by those who need to :) I was stuck with an idea for texture until I spotted this shot on my phone. No idea why I took it, but I'm glad I did now

Happy Texture Tuesday using Kim Klassen's new texture called "Aurora". This older photo was taken in October 2009 when I was a 4-month old puppy, and so much lighter then, with hardly of fleck gold yet.

“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.” ~ Melody Beattie
