7 Days of Shooting ... Seasonal ... Texture Tuesday.
There aren't many flowers around at the moment after the hot dry summer we had but the Coleus are showing that they appreciate the rain and the cooler weather by putting on lots of growth and flower spikes.
Kailey is comfortably asleep under my desk. I will find a way to get some work done without ejecting her.

Daily Dog Challenge: 1337. "Your Favorite Color" Take a photo of your dog today that includes something (or things) that are in your favorite color. Don't forget to have fun and tell us what the color is! (My favorite colors are the colors of wood. Almost all wood is beautiful to my eye; the less treatment the better.) OH, and of course, the colors of poodles.
This was Steph, the other day, getting organised for "her" day out with the girls!

for 7DoS: I was about to use a photo I found on my phone, when I realised I could see wheels from where I was sitting! Funny how we sometimes don't register things we see all the time.
One just one, but TWO pairs of jeweled shoes with 5" heels. AND they're been worn. (Bought at a yard sale for $1; apparently she's crazy enough to wear them once but not crazy enough to do it again.)

Texture Used: Petra

This is the photo I submitted for Kim Klassen's Texture Tuesday. I used her free texture Mayzee. I also added a distress and marbling look using my paint brush tools.
for 7DoS: I had a shot lined up for today, that I took while walking on the beach. As I took it and for ages after, I had a song in my head. Sadly, I have no idea what that was now ... duh! So you get Bicycle race - Queen instead. I hope I can remember that song by the end of the week (O.o)
This "wind sock" has been hanging in our garden for several months and it came all the way from Japan. I understand it is called a Koinobori (carp streamer) and surprisingly the strong winds we had through the end of last year, didn't bother it!!

7 Days of Shooting – Week 1 (w/b 9th July) Biscuits: Now, this might be difficult for some of us as you might not like a biscuit or cookie covered in chocolate and all beautifully crumbly! Yippee, this week we get to eat what we shoot ~ have fun but don’t nibble too much!!
and now we have the inside of a Tim Tam
Yes, if I had the time I'd walk for miles and miles! Taken yesterday during a nice long walk.

Used the WarmSun texture by Kim Klassen. This was taken back in January on a beautiful Sunday afternoon at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. I am just starting to play with textures. Can't wait to see what I come up with.

A star is a white spot on a horse's forehead, between the eyes. A faint star may only appear as a few white hairs, or the star can be large enough it covers the whole forehead area. Stars can be very symmetrical in shape, like spots or diamonds, or they may appear as irregular splotches. Some stars extend down bridge of the nose without connecting to any other facial markings.

Texture Tuesday - The Golden eDition
A fading sunflower shot during a trip to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens with some friends last Thursday. This week's Texture Tuesday challenge was to use at least 1 layer of the Golden texture by Kim Klassen. I used 2 layers of Golden on this image.
For Texture Tuesday. Theme was happiness - my cheap storebought bouquet of flowers brings me much happiness in the middle of winter!
This wonderful little girl has been visiting with us for the last 12 days. She's almost always happy (except for food and sleep times) and full of life. I finally took a decent portrait of her today. Processed using textures for Texture Tuesday.
Much better on black. Hit "L" to view in lightbox

The above photo of this schoolhouse was taken in Hettie, WV, April 2011. I processed it for Kim Klassen's Texture Tuesday using her texture called Jay.

7 Days of Shooting – Week #30 (w/b 29 January) On The Edge - that edge can be anything such as a fringe on a scarf or on a decorative border, the crimped edge of a yummy apple pie but whatever your subject is this week don’t fall over the the edge!!
I was in Glasgow today so I'm using a shot taken there for "My Town" well it was whilst I was there! Some cool graffiti gave my texture shot!

Struggling a little to upload and keep on top of my photos due to the fact my Mac has crashed! Using my iPad meantime albeit that makes things so much slower for me - my EXIF details don't transfer over (at times) but hopefully back to normal soon!
