Worked on two different images to represent my interpretation of this Tuesdays prompt - soft
Used Kim Klassen's texture Sienna
The whole song lyrics are
Send me love that's soft
Let me know a love that's soft
Softer than a cloud
Or roses moist with rain
A child's gentle kiss
Make his love soft like this
And send me love that's warm
Let me know a love that's warm
Warmer than the sun
And sips of brandy wine
The white coals of a fire
So warm I'll never tire
Of how he touches me

shot for 7DOS, Texture Tuesday. Bought a set of 3 of these in varying lengths to charge my new phone. Having 3 means I can leave one in the office, one in my purse and the other in my travel bag... shot and posted a day late... Amazon purchase - best price and they deliver - who could ask for anything more?
As we travel through life we are sometimes fortunate enough to cross paths with someone who really defines friendship.
For me, I have been fortuante many times over.
In some instances the least amongst us turns out to be a life changer for you, a pivotal person in your journey of life.
That is my friend Jeannette.
Tomorrow she faces a hugh challenge. These flowers represent my faith in her to pull through and my love in her for all she is in my life.
Not much to see through my front window except colour. : )

Texture Tuesday's challenge this week is to apply one layer of "Cracker Jack" texture by Kim Klassen. The cracks in this texture look like old oil paint cracking and peeling off of a canvas. So, I went with it and gave this portrait the effect of an oil painting. It underwent many versions to get to this result!
Happy Tuesday everyone!
“I define connection as the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgment; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship.”
― Brené Brown
The Museum of Pop Culture. A fusion of textures and myriad colors, MoPOP’s exterior conveys all the energy and fluidity of music. Three-thousand panels, made up of 21 thousand individually cut and shaped stainless steel and painted aluminum shingles, encase the outside of the building. Their individual finishes respond to different light conditions and appear to change when viewed from different angles, reminding audiences that music and culture is constantly evolving.
I would love to capture as many of Gehry's buildings as I can.
For six word story.
7 Days of Shooting –
So, if you are walking about in your Jimmy Choo’s this is the week for you! Let’s see the differing footwear that we all have ~ big shoes, small shoes, baby shoes, wooden clogs or whatever this is the week of footwear! These “boots are made for walking” stomp, stomp!!
However, don’’t forget that socks and slippers and even those toe rings that some wear are acceptable for our Theme.
Well, it rained again!! Most of the morning we had some heavy showers albeit it didn't spoil my round of golf and then the sun came out this afternoon!

Daisy testing her new wave-shaped scratching post a while ago - it looks a lot scruffier now! (I hope you can see it's curved, but Daisy is hiding part of it.)

Taken this summer in Southampton ON and pulled from the archives for Kim Klassen's Texture Tuesday
Decreased saturation and brightness, added 2 layers of kk_BB2, one in Multiply and one in Soft light blending mode, both at 42% opacity. This weather has me missing the flowers and the bees! Minus 22 degrees Celcius yesterday and a good 8 inches of snow overnight. Oh well…guess I will have to stay indoors and play with photos! :)

A cowboy hat flew by on the wind,
And I started thinking, where it had been.
Did it come from the desert hot and dry,
Or from the mountains, high in the sky.
Was it Vikings hat, or maybe Copperhorse?
Maybe on the duke's head, it had been.
Was it a bad guy's like Docbarstetson,
I thought of this as it flew aloft.
Or was it Cowgirls hat that just flew by,
It was a western hat, that I couldn't deny.
It was dumped in the street, by the wind,
And lay there forlorn, like it needed a friend.
I picked it up, and put it on my head,
And it fit perfect, and I was glad.
Next time I'll tie it around my chin,
So this darned hat, won't fly off again.

Sculpted by Pat Moseley, this piece celebrates the life of a woman who was a champion of women's rights during a time when women had very few rights.
Interestingly, Mary Lee didn't come to Adelaide until 1879 when she was already in her late 50's. She originally came here to nurse her son who was ill but after his death, Mary and her daughter couldn't afford to sail back to Ireland and ended up staying. Mary dedicated the last 30 years of her life to improving the social and political rights for women in South Australia.
She was instrumental in fighting and winning the vote for women in SA and was an outspoken objector to Australia's involvement in the Boer War. In 1883 she joined the Social Purity Society and helped work towards the raising of the age of consent from 13 to 16 -hard to believe the age of consent was ever 13!!!. In 1888 she established the Women's Suffrage League of South Australia and remained Secretary until women won the right to vote in December 1894.
Mary Lee lived an amazing life that was dedicated to the betterment of the lives of others
Tasmanian Devil - Sarophilus harrisi
The real Tasmanian devil doesn't really resemble the famous cartoon character. It isn't the same size as humans, nor does it storm through its surroundings like a swirling tornado. The Tasmanian devil is only the size of a small dog; is just 20 to 31 inches (51 to 79 centimetres) tall and weighs only 9 to 26 lbs. (4 to 12 kilograms). It has black fur that helps it stay camouflaged when searching for food at night and has very sharp teeth that aid in eating. A nocturnal scavenger: it sleeps during the day and is awake at night and sometime hunter, the Tasmanian devil a can travel long distances while looking for food. During the night, they sometimes journey up to 10 miles (16 km) to hunt,
The Tassie Devil will eat whatever is available, usually carrion (dead animals), sometimes eating spoiled or rotting meat. It will also eat fur and bones, which it crushes in its powerful jaws. Although they are solitary animals, Tasmanian devils will gather to feed, often growling viciously at each other trying to scare off their competition. When finished eating there is, nothing left of the carcass.
The late night screeching, stress-induced stink, and fierce looks led early Australian settlers to name this marsupial the devil. The cartoon Tasmanian devil does have one thing in common with the real creature: poor temperament. When threatened, it goes into a rage in which it growls, lunges and bares its teeth. The Tassie Devil also makes other worldly screams that can seem very devil-like. It may be due to this temper that the Tasmanian devil is usually a loner.
Although once found all over Australia, Tasmanian devils now live only on the island state of Tasmania. Inhabiting coastal scrub and forest areas, they make their dens anywhere they can safely sleep during the day, including hollow logs, old wombat burrows and naturally formed caves. Tasmanian devils’ breeding season lasts from March to May. Female devils will mate with dominant males, who fight to gain their attention. Three weeks after conception, the females give birth to up to 50 babies, called joeys. These 50 extremely tiny joeys scramble to attach themselves to one of the four available teats in the mother’s pouch. Those that do not make it will not survive. The remaining joeys will attach to the nipple in the pouch for roughly 3 months while they become fully developed. Like the wombat, the Tasmanian devil has a pouch that opens on the bottom to keep dirt out while travelling. After the joeys leave their mother’s pouch, they remain hidden in the den for another 3 months. During this time the mother brings food to the young, and eventually the young devils begin venturing out on their own before finally leaving the den for good. They can live for up to 5 years in the wild.

I think I forgot to mention that these animal are on the endangered list. They are also very scruffy (very matted fur), ugly (large head small bodies) and very unnerving when up close.
