For Kim Klassen's Texture Tuesday...
Tried a little something different this time ~ shot the image with my DSLR camera, but then loaded it onto my phone where I ran it through one of my apps (FX Studio). Then, took it into PSE and added Kim's watercolor texture, 'oh my'...that's it!

for 7DoS: my computer has been rebuilt and is back online. Sadly, I can't seem to upload photos onto flickr yet so clearly some settings have to be looked at :(
Meanwhile, here's another phone shot from my beach walk. This is part of the bucket (I think that's what they are called?) a tractor was using to shift some of the sand around. I fear the sea is winning the battle at this point and there was an air of King Canute about the operation. The dunes have been expanded/ reinforced, so we will see if the tide can be held back.

7 Days of Shooting – Week #36 (w/b 12 March) Wheels - round and round they go! Wheels are everywhere ~ cars, buses, bicycles, motorbikes, trains! Real wheels or wheels on toys wheels on machinery or that fun ferris wheel in the park. We’ll all be singing Tina Turner’s Proud Mary this week … big wheels keep on turning!
I thought I'd this to the 7DOS Texture Tuesday... they don't come any more iconic than Leica for a photography group... well... maybe they do but I love the texture of my wee leather Leica camera case... taken many years ago now but it still gives me a warm fuzzy feeling :D
It's a pineapple and this will soon be cut up for part of tomorrow's breakfast .... fruit and yoghurt, every morning!!

7DoS Texture Tuesday - Out of my Window
This shot across the vally out of my window, is pretty much the only roof I can see and has rough texture and lichen giving me the style for today.
Shot at approx. 900mm effective focal length (560mm on a Canon APS-C sensor), ignore the EXIF which doesn't work when I stack TCs

Between Cape Town and Johannesburg in South Africa
The Trans Karoo Express, or simply Trans Karoo, was a South African express passenger train service which travelled an approximately 1,600-kilometre (990 mi) journey between Johannesburg and Cape Town. It operated daily in each direction, meaning that there were in fact two Trans Karoos - they passed each other during the night, heading in opposite directions. The service was operated by Spoornet, the national railway company.
The Trans Karoo was named from the Great Karoo scrubland, one of the most extensive geographical features of southern Africa, across which the train operated...
The service is now incorporated into the Shosholoza Meyl network of operations, a sub-division of the national passenger train operator, the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa. Although the title of Trans Karoo has officially ended, it is still used colloquially..
