Church of Bethlehem in the Armenian neighborhood.

Not very famous, but beautiful church in Isfahan, Iran.

I’m afraid that you will be fed up with a series of strange pictures uploaded lately. So I will add historical trivia today.

It was in the beginning of 17th century. Persian King Shah Abbas had Armenians come to Isfahan and they showed great talent for commercial and artistic activity. The name of Jolfa District in Isfahan comes from their hometown located near the border with Azerbaijan Republic. Armenians formed their own society based on Christian culture since Shah Abbas guaranteed them freedom of faith in the empire whose official religion was Islam.

This is an area dominated by a certain repetitive pattern.. I feel a bit guilty because this is easy on the computer and I know how tedious and difficult it is to do by hand. You have to admire Escher and others who could do it so well.

Textures on the beach at Maryport. The main foreground rock had the most amazing textures and shapes running through it, almost looking like wood. The boulders behind, the movement in the sea and clouds above, giving an image full of different textures.

Fence post at the golden hour. AND a rainbow! What a gorgeous scene this was.

Near start of Nature Trail at Ship Harbor in Anacortes WA. Maple was about 8" in diameter.

Also, it is blooming, so there is pollen which shows up when photo is enlarged.
