I have 1 more day of class and I am officially a college graduate! I'm so excited. Right now I am applying for my bachelors degree program. wish me luck!
My latest lesson from Kim Klassen's Skinny-Mini eCourse was a lesson in texturing, so you know that I was loving it! And our first part of the homework assignment was to follow her "recipe" for applying a texture to a picture...a picture of a barn!
I was on cloud nine.
The rest of our homework was to do the following. 1. Follow Kim's recipe on an image from our own libraries. (You'll see the result of that down in comments.) Love the texture that she provided us!
2. Texture an image in whatever way we wanted with whatever textures we wanted. Well, yeehaw! I decided to still follow parts of her recipe, but with different opacities. I also added an additional texture from Kim but still played with the one she gave us for the assignment. I really like it!
So here there are: today's homework assignments!

Looking around the house for something to photograph using the macro lens and I stumbled on hubby's new walking boots.
They were bought especially for this weeks holiday in Scotland, as we haven't been able to go they are still all nice and clean.

Spring is on the way. Some trees, like the bauhenia are beginning to burst into pale pink. These stocks filled the house with their wonderful fragrance until yesterday when they started to stink unpleasantly. Compost now, isn't nature wonderful. Here I have stuck them between two pages, or textures if you will. One is by Leschick here

and the other is called 'shoegazing' and is by NKL

Old photo from the archive, texture: Jai Johnson.
This butterfly looked as though it had a terrible paint job. This image looks like it has been over sharpened or unsharp mask was used, nothing was used it is straight from the camera.
The encrusted rocks make great non-slip surfaces, in contrast to the seaweed which is lethally slippery!
(44/365) Am way behind with uploading my daily photos & commenting so apologies to my Flickr friends, will try & catch up this evening. This quick photo on my daily dog walk turned out to be the only one I took on the 13th, converting to mono seemed to work best, such a dull day. Happy Textural Tuesday!
