Family: Chrysomelidae

The larger C. viridis is seen here with C. vibex, and both are known as tortoise beetles. Colour, shape of the rear corner of the pronotum, elytral texture and punctuation are all useful in determination of species.

C. viridis (9mm) was collected by sweeping, whilst C.vibex (6mm) was found on knapweed, both in rough grassland near Bath.
